From the moment we went to visit The Old Hall, Ely to the moment we checked out the day after our wedding, and beyond, the The Old Hall were phenomenal! We could not have asked for a more perfect experience with planning and arranging our wedding. All of the staff were amazing and all of our guests commented how seamless our wedding day was. The attention to detail, amazing quality of food, wonderful staff and just absolutely stunning house and gardens made our wedding day perfect! All of our guests still speak of how amazing our wedding was 5 months on! All of the rooms are beautiful and so comfortable. The grounds are stunning as well as the house decor. Such a special location!

We were looking for a quite 4 day getaway from London during the holiday season and were very happy with this hotel. ||Firstly, the location: surrounded by vast gardens, open spaces and located just off the A142, we could not have asked for a better place to completely re-energise and cutoff. ||The hotel itself was impeccable and tastefully decorated giving a warm, cozy and relaxing vibe. The reception also had an interesting collection of board games and books for our perusal near the fireplace. We were very happy with the size of the room (Octagon) and the amenities inside which included a nespresso coffee maker, a hot water bag and high end toiletries. ||We were warmly welcomed with a delicious complimentary carrot cake and tea and the staff were extremely courteous to make our stay comfortable. Although the food and drinks were good, the options were limited to a set menu: we had to order only grazing boards for dinner and the restaurant was closed for an event (which we understand is quite frequent given its known to be a wedding venue) in one of the days. This is something you should keep in mind given the hotel is not walking distance from Ely city.

I organised a Sunday lunch for 15 family members, no meme feat trying to find a date for everyone to come! The team at the Old Hall were extremely accommodating and helpful.
We were situated at the end of the Orangery, which I think is called the lakes and almost like a private dining room. The tables were set in such a manner that everybody had sight of one another and made for a lovely chatty family lunch. The food and service were excellent. The staff were friendly, cheerful and well-organized. We will go back again

I had the pleasure of attending the New Year's Eve event at the Old Hall and it was fantastic. The venue is lovely and was perfectly suited for a New Year's Eve Black Tie party. The three course meal tasted amazing and was presented so well and the cheese counter was a hit with everyone. The staff were so friendly and attentive and really helped to make the experience - I can't say enough about how great they were. The entertainment was great - the Sax man was brilliant! I'd have loved to have seen more of the grounds - perhaps next time... I am looking forward to visiting again.

My daughter picked the Old Hall by chance, pretty much mid way between Norfolk and Northants to meet up before Xmas for afternoon tea. Surprisingly few historic places in Norfolk did afternoon tea at the weekend ! |Beautiful hotel, parts clearly very old but the more recent extensions done incredibly well, inside was stunning as were the gardens. Staff were lovely, friendly relaxed nothing to much trouble but not in your face all the time. Afternoon tea was brilliant, a nice selection of sandwiches and some lovely cakes ! That’s the diet blown ! Ely is one place I don’t know well but looks well worth a longer visit. Great views accross to the cathedral from our table. |Highly recommended, we’ll definitly be back hopefully for longer next time.

This is without doubt one of the best places I’ve stayed at in a while. The grounds and gardens were amazing, really creating the perfect ambiance for some quiet time.
The room was lovely and had a great view of the gardens. It was quiet and airy, very comfortable.
Breakfast each morning was delicious, providing a good range of options to cater for a range of tastes and preferences.
The special touch of tea and cake in the drawing room made my day complete.

We stayed with friends at the Old Hall for the New Year’s Eve Gala & every element of our visit was exceptional.
Our rooms were stylish & very comfortable.
The Gala event was glamorous, fun & the dinner was delicious.
All the staff were attentive, efficient, friendly & their attention to detail first class.
Our only wish would be for the package to include a 2 night stay as we really didn’t want to leave such luxury so soon.
