Another Sunday means another roast, and this was up there with our faves and best! The roast beef, chicken and pork all cooked to perfection! Melted in our mouths! Everything on our plate was delicious, a proper home cooked roast. The service was fab, atmosphere lovely, deco was right up our street, loved the photo book of the old lamp rooms journey 💜 we cant wait to return . Gorgeous little place. Faye and Andrew . Visited today with my sister and got to say it was absolutely amazing !!!! Food was fresh and tasted amazing !!! We had the prawns and pulled pork balls for starters and a topped focaccia for main. I had the chicken dinner topped focaccia and it was delicious, Staff were warm and friendly and very helpful,can't wait to come back for an evening meal 👍👍 x

First time tried, food was nice enough just could have done with a few more sandwiches thought it was a bit overpriced for amount we received, there’s not a lot of room and the main room was taken up by a party of about 8 I think we was put in a side room which looked like a lean too, we was sat next to the toilets and stock room so every 2 mins staff and customers where coming in to use the facilities bit off putting when you’re trying to dine, however they did make room for us just wished we would have had a nicer room to sit in - Afternoon tea for 2, if we go back I would request a nicer room to sit in

One of my hobbies is to go to various cafes across hull and try out their food. This place has a warm atmosphere, I found it rather peaceful and so this is my third time coming here. Every time I've been welcomed warmly, the staff have always been friendly and accommodating but without being in my face about it, as a lone female traveller this is wonderful.

I order the roast of the day and the beef was beautifully cooked, I could of cut it with a butter knife. I realised I enjoyed this meal that much I didn't have a single thought whilst eating and completely forgot to take a photo, I was so focused on how nice the meal was.

I had room for pudding and I remembered to take a photo. I am a sucker for sticky toffee pudding and is my greatest comfort food. I was not disappointed. I did appreciate they have a good sponge to custard ratio.

I think this is my new favourite place to go for a roast dinner.

Our first visit here, and my only regret is we didn't try years ago. Lovely atmosphere, the artwork and table design is fantastic, the friendliest staff and amazing beef Sunday lunch. Price is very reasonable, I recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We can't wait to go back.

First quick visit inside lamp room, seems very small. Did have a cake but wasn't the best we've had but nice presentation. Seems very small and cramped inside. Staff wasn't very friendly and seemed to have an argument about how much our meal was. Won't be returning

Fabulous venue, brilliant service, and delicious food. We took a chance and travelled up from Sheffield after seeing a Facebook ad, and it was definitely worth the effort. Quirky decor, we were constantly spotting something new as the evening progressed. We'll definitely be back. 😊Thank you.

Although we had booked our table, I got the distinct impression they were not expecting us. Within a couple of minutes, they found us a table. They took our order and brought us some water. We seemed to wait an age for our food, but when it did arrive it was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
