Can't speak for the hotel side, so this is coming from a purely function room side - very friendly and accommodating staff, the food provided was all good, albeit basic (sausage rolls, small sandwiches and finger food). The room itself and grounds were lovely and well kept, parking was available albeit slightly limited due to the size available.

To summarize, great staff, great venue, perfect for receptions and family events

Really welcoming arrival. On check in we were told their was a function on which would probably be causing some noise but shouldn't go on too late and we shouldn't hear it in our room. This was wrong, we heard the disco thumping away until the early hours, we could even hear the laughter and screams of the party goers. This was a stop over from a very tiring day travelling around Norfolk, we were hoping for a dinner and good night's sleep. I booked a deluxe room but it was a little tired in places. The dinner did not disappoint, absolutely wonderful meal, we even booked for lunch the next day as we were visiting Wroxham nearby so wanted to come back for some more delicious food. However we were so tired after hardly any sound sleep we decided to cut short and not return for afternoon lunch. I have to say the gentleman who dealt with our complaint ( and that of another customer who was at the same time complaining of the same issue) showed genuine concern and understanding and agreed we should have not been given the rooms we were as it's not their policy to use these rooms when such an event is on because of the close proximity. The outcome for us was positive and we were compensated satisfactorily. Breakfast was very good. We would consider staying again if no function was on. We would definitely return just to eat in the restaurant, compliments to the chef and waiting staff. However, please don't describe some rooms as deluxe when the furniture is chipped, the dressing table stool is all stained and the toilet roll is on a small holder which was on the floor holding the bathroom door open on arrival and then no place to put it to comfortably reach when needed. A simple holder on the wall would be better then the floor. ( see photos).

We visited today for a Xmas Meal with 33 residents from our complex. |A wonderful occasion, superb food and service. Welcoming and friendly staff, room was beautifully decorated for Xmas. Thank you Ian for making booking easy and accommodating our requests.

Was a bit old school but otherwise ok. The bar shut at 10pm and everything is shut at 10pm ... It is more of a function hotel other than your standard hotel. Room was nice and clean, staff were helpful and friendly and it's not too far from Norwich etc. Other than the old school but I couldn't fault it...

Second time staying and didn’t disappoint we had an amazing 1 night stay , lovely hotel with amazing outdoor warm pool. staff so helpful and lovely, quiet location but near to the Broads. clean and stunning gardens, food great and room modern and comfortable. my daughter loved the pool it felt like we were abroad. will return soon!

To all of you! ||We cannot thank you enough for this weekend, it has been an absolute blast! You are all so kind, helpful, friendly and really go the extra mile to help with our requests🫶||Becky & Maddie - you are wedding co-ordinators like no other! AMAZING!! Everything was perfect and even on the lead up to the wedding, you kept in touch, organisation was on point and you were just amazing throughout! I can’t fault a thing, truly a great experience when you get told you have a wedding co-ordinator that is exactly what we needed🩷||All of our guests had nothing but nice things to say about the hotel, the rooms were clean, beds VERY comfy, The grounds are beautiful and maintained, the pool is beautiful, BUT THE FOOD!!! OMG THE FOOD, I’m still getting compliments about it! OUTSTANDING So Thankyou chef & Ian! ||I will never ever ever forget the weekend, it was amazing and that’s all thanks to you guys.||We will be back for any occasion we can make up just to re live that weekend. ||Lots of Love |Mr & Mrs Larke x

Phoned to pay our balance and was told that it was being dealt with by Maddy, and could they phone back next day.||The call came and we were asked for £35 as a balance to pay. Today we have had our meal, which was average at best.||During my absence my wife was approached to pay a further £12 balance. She refused as we paid the amount YOU asked for in full. I would have had to be persuaded to return for another meal after this one. Now I definitely would not come back. Disappointing as this was our 4th Christmas meal.

Just spent a week here while in the area for work. The hotel was great, comfortable room, in beautiful surroundings, all of the staff were amazing so welcoming, helpful, polite and just could not do enough for all of their guests.|The food in the restaurant was amazing, not one bad meal the entire visit, lots of options and sadly plentiful ( diet starts Monday!) |Definitely recommend if you're visiting Norwich and want to wind down after a busy day.
