Great place to spend a weeks holiday in the Cairngorms National Park. The property was very clean and needed for nothing. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and lounge wanted for nothing at all. The gardens were kept a very high standard Kate and her husband live on site and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely come and stay in there. Plenty of places to see close by and up some lovely sights on your drive over the mountain.

Just back from our second trip to the Schoolhouse, and definitely not our last! The properties are beautiful, comfortable and have all amenities in a great, peaceful location, just under a 20 minute drive from Aviemore. The hosts are lovely and very helpful.

We stayed in the Staffroom as a family of 4 with two young children. ||The location is beautiful, so peaceful with great views and plenty outdoor space including picnic benches for outdoor eating and woods at the back to explore. The hot tubs etc were closed due to covid19 during our visit but they looked lovely. ||The accommodation was superb. Finished to a really high standard and they have thought of everything - plastic plates for the kids, bbq for each apartment, every utensil you could need, an ironing board, dishwasher with tablets provided, washing machine - couldn't ask for more! The rooms were great, plenty space and the bathrooms fantastic. The only minor issue we had was the double room is internal with velux windows which got really warm at night so we didn't need the cosy duvet provided. The other rooms were fine though as had windows you could open. ||The place was immaculate, and excellent hygiene measures in place with hand sanitizers at each door. ||We also got a takeaway from Kate's cafe the Carrbridge Kitchen which was absolutely delicious so highly recommend that if you're staying at a weekend!||We loved our stay and were sad to leave, will definitely be back.

When a host suddenly cancelled our previous New Year booking, Kate offered us the two classrooms and saved the day. We were a party of 4 adults, three kids and a dog and struggling to find anywhere at such sort notice to have a few days with friends. ||One phone call later, our holiday was back on! ||It was lovely to have space for each family and get together for dinner in Mrs Clarke's classroom. I'm VERY particular about cleanliness and I'm pleased to report that it was absolutely spotless. The location is perfect - near places to eat and visit, far enough away to feel nice and peaceful. Only moments from Carrbridge. ||Kate couldn't have been more helpful, even baking a last minute birthday cake for one of our party. It snowed on the last evening and we would have been delighted to stay longer but the ever helpful owner got the snow plough and cleared the drive. At least we made it back to work!||We're already planning another visit in 2023. I'd definitely recommend The Old School.

Exceptional accommodation in a beautiful setting, with everything you could wish for provided. There’s so much to do locally if that’s what you want to do as its near some lovely villages with easy access to many iconic places such as Loch Ness and Culloden. Equally the school house setting is also a perfect base for walker and cyclist enthusiasts. We have had a wonderful time here made perfect by ||ambience of the accommodation along with Kate and David the perfect hosts.

We have just had a wonderful 3 night stay in the staffroom. The apartment was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and very child friendly. The old school house is set in lovely tranquil grounds with picnic benches and a hot tub. We are already planning our next visit!

Five star accommodation in a beautiful location. Both self catering units were spotless and well equipped with everything we needed. Kate was extremely welcoming. Amazing hot tub and sauna with lovely views! We will definitely be back.

This is one of our favourite places to stay in the UK. We love the cozy staffroom with luxury ensuite and the proximity to Landmark makes it a great break with our 2 children. The hot-tub is a very welcome extra! Plus it is very nice to know the owner's excellent restaurant is close by to pop in for a bite or something to take back to the accommodation. Communication excellent when booking also.
