Stayed here overnight before a business meeting the next day. Julie was a charming host and having advised I would be arriving late in the evening, she greeted me within minutes of my arrival and was most welcoming. ||Lovely room with countryside views and a decent sized en suite, only negative was the electric shower that lacked a bit of power and the relatively small shower cubicle. Plenty of hot water, but maybe time to upgrade to a more modern shower. Buffet breakfast in the morning was good. ||As a few reviews have mentioned, Woburn Sands village centre is only a mile away and has a few nice looking eateries and pubs. But the best thing about The Stables is it isn’t in Milton Keynes! I was amazed at how peaceful and rural the setting was given how close it is to the land of the concrete cows, and will definitely stay here again when next on business in the area.

Visited The Old Stables in Milton Keynes 11/12 September with 3 friends to attend a concert at The Stables. What a little gem of a find it turned out to be. Easy to get to, in the middle of nowhere and not your typical B&B either as the rooms are in what would have been an old stables block and the room we had looked straight out over fields with horses. I haven't slept so well in a long time as it was so quiet and dark. Beautifully cooked self service breakfast way above average. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed with good quality towels, beds and pillows and a large en suite. The shower was powerful and hot. I have stayed in much much worse 4 star hotels and this B&B was priced just right. All in all a very enjoyable stay and a place I would be happy to return to and I can highly recommend.

I booked last minute for a one night stop over but nothing was too much trouble. Good communication and very helpful. Great value accommodation, host was very welcoming. Room was clean and had everything you needed. A great 'help yourself' breakfast. Definitely recommend for the price I paid.

Business trip/last minute meeting in MK. Prices at the usual big hotels in Centre MK had rocketed, so decided on trying The Old Stables mainly due to cost, but also relying on other positive comments. Warm welcome on entrance, easy to park right next to rooms, clean, warm and access to free wifi. Bed was comfy and room was well decorated. No option to eat on site, but a 3-4 min taxi ride (20 min walk) gets you to a good selection of country pubs or restaurants. Power shower and thick towels on offer to freshen up followed by a great selection of breakfast items and fresh coffee to give you a great start to the day. Will certainly be staying here again.

Decidedly "Meh..." for the price...
Warm, friendly welcome, extremely clean room, but overall this guesthouse just isn't worth the money. For starters, the room itself was 'pokey', for want of a better word. In fact, it was barely large enough to accommodate its bed. The TV was tiny, with something like a 14" or 17" flat screen. The bathroom was a joke, with a basic shower, and a small toilet, squeezed into the narrow space between shower and wall.
On top of that, the entire "Stables" is a conversion consisting of stud-work and plasterboard*, which basically meant that when the person two rooms over flushed their toilet, I was awakened... just as I was awakened by anyone walking down the corridor.
Breakfast was good, despite being a buffet kind of affair, but was accompanied by three quarters of a cup of coffee... so there's that.
To put this into context, the following night I stayed at an Inn which offered large, comfortable rooms, a truly outstanding breakfast, and an unbelievable country atmosphere for 25% less than I paid here.
Not coming back in a hurry...
*That's Sheetrock for all you Non-Brits out there.

We stayed for two nights at the B&B. We were well looked after, really well presented bedroom and bathroom and a lovely breakfast. Julie is a very welcoming host and really looked after us. This was our second visit and we would definitely book again.

Julie the host was fantastic. Made me feel welcome and at home. It is a great location and away from the hustle and bustle which was exactly what I was looking for. Superb value for money. Stayed two nights and really enjoyed my stay. Look forward to returning in the future. Thank you.

Room is basic but comes equipped with everything you would need. Host is lovely and I loved the dogs. Breakfast was nice and included in the room rate which was very reasonable at £70. Only downside is the Wi-Fi was terrible and tv signal also not great. However I would definitely stay here again.
