Stunning place. Beautiful decor and furnishings. More like a luxury small hotel than B and B. Perfect attention to detail from the Molton brown toiletries to rituals Reed diffusers and Sara Miller tea set in the room. Little additional luxuries too such as marshmallows fruit and an espresso machine in the room. Tranquil spot next to a church with a beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing. We only wanted fruit yogurt and toast and were given loads of different fresh and dried fruits and cereals every day plus fantastic breads. Loved the cranberry and pecan bread. Also cooked breakfast to order at weekend. We were the only guests having breakfast so had a beautiful dining room plus buffet to ourselves. Great location near the tweed and could walk to everything easily. Peter and Debbie were very helpful. Couldn’t have wanted more from a B and B

We stayed in the self catering apartment on the top floor of the Old Vicarage. It was fabulous. The whole house has been beautifully restored, with the most incredible attention to detail. But that attention to detail goes beyond the bricks and mortar. Peter has thought hard about everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. From slippers to a hot water bottle, from a really well-equipped kitchen to board games. He even stocks the fridge with milk, bread, butter and other tasty things so that you don’t have to rush out before you can make a cuppa when you first arrive. The Vicarage’s location is good too with no more than a short walk to the old bridge and to the beach. We will definitely stay here again next time our travels take us to Northumberland.

We stayed for two nights over the bank holiday weekend and it was pure perfection. I have never been to Berwick before and was excited for some time away to relax. The accommodation is superb, every detail in the building is finished to such a high standard and the decor is beautiful. The owners are so welcoming and made us feel at home st sight away. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bed is so comfy! I would definitely recommend a stay to anyone who wants to take some time away- it’s o ly a short walk over a beautiful bridge into the city centre so it’s the perfect location.

We booked the Cuthbert Suite for 4 nights and we we had an absolutely lovely stay. On arrival we were met by Debbie who greeted us with a warm welcome. We were asked to take our shoes off in the porch which we had been told about in an email prior so we were ready and more than happy to do so. The entrance hall was immaculate and on first impression it felt like we were walking into a house featured in Homes & Gardens. We were showed the guest lounge which again was wonderful and included a lovely old piano (just wish I had brought my sheet music) and then showed the breakfast room before being taken up a fabulous staircase and shown to our room. The room was beautiful, luxurious and very tastefully decorated and included extra little touches which included a fruit basket, cakes, a selection of teas, Nespresso machine and a small fridge with fresh milk & cold drinks, The bathroom again was very luxurious which had both a large roll top bath and a separate double shower with lovely Malton Brown toiletries.||||We could not fault breakfast for choice or taste. Peter was a marvellous host and could not do enough for us. All allergies were taken into account and the ingredients used were organic and the great thing was that we could choose the time we wanted to come down for breakfast and not be limited to having to rise really early for it.||||The location was really good and it was just a 10/15 minute walk across the old bridge in to town.||||Our only little niggle was that we are a couple (at a certain time of life) that get very hot at night and need air circulating and unfortunately the window didn't open very much.

I booked the 2 room apartment for myself, husband, sister , brother in law. I can honestly say it was perfect.
The apt was stunning with fresh eggs, bread butter milk bowl of fruit for our arrival also the toiletries were not the usual cheap standard. Peter was very informative about things to do.
We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend a stay. We will be going back.

Stayed at The Old Vicarage for 3 nights, what a fantastic place. Location was ideal on a quiet road with lots of off road parking. Although the property is advertised as a B&B there is only one room that qualifies for breakfast, the other rooms are advertised as self catering, this was not a problem for us as we knew this and we are not big breakfast eaters, there was a small kitchen area where you could make your own breakfast. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette were all high quality, there was a large garden with plenty of seating.|There is nothing I could fault, I would highly recommend The Old Vicarage.
