Our experience at The Orangery was truly amazing! The team were incredibly supportive throughout the planning process and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day.

Michelle (event coordinator) went above and beyond and had an amazing eye for detail. We had several comments throughout the evening about how great the service was.

The hog roast we opted for was a hit and everyone loved it - some even went for thirds...! The venue's layout, both indoors and outdoors, was ideal for a summer wedding, allowing our guests to enjoy the festivities in a relaxed and beautiful setting.

Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and they were able to enjoy the surrounding gardens throughout the day.

We highly recommend The Orangery to anyone looking for a wonderful wedding reception venue.

We had our mini wedding celebration here and used their VIP section to host an afternoon tea. The food was fantastic and the staff were very welcoming despite it being a very busy day. We were allowed to decorate the tables and entrance and were able to give short speeches. Although the cafe was open to the public the VIP area felt quite separate and you have your own door to access it. Just a note on a warm Summer’s day in August it did get quite hot inside and I felt our group of 48 was the maximum I would recommend for a gathering in that area.

Brain Tumour Research recently hosted their Torpoint Walk of Hope at Mount Edgcumbe and we were generously supported by the lovely team at The Orangery. We started and finished our walk beside Aunt Em's shop, which they also manage and sell a variety of delicious drinks, coffee and pastries (the sausage roll was a particular favourite!). 2.6.23 Wow what a wedding day at The Orangery! Such a special place. Michelle and Kerry were brilliant throughout the whole experience. Their attention to detail, support with decisions and flexible relaxed vibe was perfect. We got married at Mount Edgcumbe House - outside as it was a beautiful sunny day. Then made our way to The Orangery. The combination of the 2 buildings was perfect. Mount Edgcumbe house looks like a castle so I felt like a princess and The Orangery felt like a setting on the French Riviera! It really is an incredibly beautiful building and all our guests were so impressed!
Michelle and the team made sure the whole day ran smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about anything. We chose the buffet and it was absolutely delicious and the pasties in the evening disappeared in seconds! Yum!
I cannot recommend this venue enough. So many beautiful photo opportunities all around the venues and you just feel so special. It truly was the BEST DAY EVER with so many incredible memories to cherish. Forever grateful to Michelle for making it happen ❤️

Honestly, it's really to put into words our wedding day, because I feel words don't justify how Michelle, Kerri and the whole team as The Orangery made us feel on what was the best day of our lives.

Michelle was so quick and responsive to all of my questions and small details and no question was ever a silly question. We met with Michelle and Kerri the day before our wedding and they made us feel so at ease and everything was organised and prepped ready to go. Kerri set up the reception decorations for us which was such an amazing treat to walk into what was a stunning room.

Kerri was so attentive throughout the whole food service, with so many compliments from our friends and family about how delicious the food was and the wine choice as well.

The whole team was just incredible, even with constantly serving us throughout the night and we can't say a bigger thank you to The Orangery.

The actual venue itself is stunning with so many different areas for guests to explore. It was such an experience, especially with getting a ferry back across to Plymouth to end the night.

We cannot express our gratitude so much. What a place to get married. Thank you so much!!

An amazing venue with incredible staff who worked so hard to make our wedding reception the best afternoon and evening ever. The venue is a beautiful building that allows plenty of room for guests and vendors, plus the amazing gardens that are a wonderful outdoor space. Thank you to Michelle and her team for such an incredible experience and for impeccable cooperation from over a year and half beforehand right up to the day. You all truly gave us the day we dreamed of!

Thank you to Michelle and The Orangery team for hosting our wedding reception in August 2023. We were over the moon to be able to get married at this stunning venue close to our hearts. My husband Tom grew up in a nearby Cornish village, and I have walked and picnicked in the beautiful grounds throughout my childhood. When we were first together aged 16, and 17, we had one of our first dates in the Italian gardens, so it only seemed fitting to return to celebrate our wedding reception thirteen years later at The Orangery!

We first reached out to Michelle and the team about two years prior to our wedding, and the venue ticked all of our boxes- it was close to our church, big enough to host all of our friends and family, reasonably priced, and the team were friendly, professional, approachable, passionate and personable. They were responsive to all our questions, no matter the time of day or day of the week- nothing was ever too stupid or too difficult. We were so impressed with their organisation, communication, and commitment to planning, and their love for the local area meant a lot to us as a local couple! We even integrated my friend’s drawings of The Orangery onto our invitations, stationery, favours, and guestbook.

Michelle consistently kept us in the loop and up to date about schedules, payments, viewings, and tastings- we had the best time together trying all the delicious homemade, local dishes and enjoyed the very tasty wine. They made it so easy for us and for our suppliers, and when it came time to have our run down a couple of days before the big day, Kerry and Michelle made it so straightforward, we could just tell everything was going to go smoothly as they were so organised and relaxed.

On our wedding day they went above and beyond for us, Kerry and the team had decorated better than we could have ever imagined! From walking into the Italian Gardens with the string quartet playing on the lawn accompanied by the seamless serving of welcome drinks and delicious canapés I knew the day was going to be perfect. They ran it with precision, helping to get guests into formation for photos, ushering us inside for our entrance and serving the meal quickly and professionally. They coordinated everything with an effortless efficiency, and were on hand to gently remind us when it was time to cut our cake, for speeches and for the first dance. My husband had engineered a surprise rendition of an old song he’d written, and the team managed to keep it all a secret from me, carrying out the guitar and amps on queue. We were so impressed with the whole team’s hosting abilities, making our guests feel at ease and we had plenty of complements throughout the day about the team and their hardworking, professional attitude.

Everything was incredible from start to finish with Michelle and The Orangery team and it made the whole process so relaxed, we never felt stressed knowing the day was in such capable hands. We are delighted with the process, our experience, and most importantly our wedding day, and would wholeheartedly recommend The Orangery to any couples getting married in the South-West.
