What an amazing find in the heart of the campus and right next to the conference centre.

Rooms were large, bright, clean and modern (mine had an extra large bath as well) and the breakfast buffet was extensive, including all the expected hit and cold options but also some other things like smoothies.

Fantastic service and lovely grounds. All of the staff we encountered were smiling, positive and genuinely happy to help. You must take a walk around the grounds. Absolutely beautiful.
Pay extra for breakfast, definitely worth it.

Rooms could do with updating, I'd personally prefer the carpet removed but fine nonetheless

I’ve stayed at the orchard hotel before for a work conference and I really like the hotel. It’s a great size, modern, clean and tidy and The bedrooms are a good size. Unfortunately This trip the food was appalling. Ordered the fish curry and it was hard dry rice, no sauce and bloodied monk fish…absolutely unacceptable. Breakfast was very good on both days but the lunches provided at the conference were very poor. Very mean portions, literally the finest amount of potato and meat in sauce that looked congealed and like slop. In the last day it was chicken in a mushroom sauce. The chicken looked vile the veg wasn’t cooked so I ate boiled rice! Perfect when you need a refuel before a long afternoon session. I would never book an event here based on this visit. Avoid if you are organising an event!

Having stayed last year and given a great review, I can agree with all the comments about lovely staff, good quality breakfast and comfortable rooms. The location is fab and it’s free parking. |I think we struck unlucky this time as Room 203 definitely needs some attention. The bathroom smelt of bad drains, the paintwork on the bathroom door was peeling,the shower panel leaked and the pressure in the shower was not great. We would also have liked a few more milk sachets and usb ports. |I would still recommend staying but preferably in a room that has received some maintenance.

Couldn’t rate the hotel more highly. LOADS of parking, switched on staff and a cracking breakfast buffet made it a perfect stay. ||The signature suite is exceptional too. Balcony overlooking the beautiful campus. ||Would be an ideal stay for a conference or family visiting students. ||Clearly a really well ran operation by a professional team.

Stayed one night, check in & check out easy, staff friendly and welcoming.
Had some bar food , was very nice.
The room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable.
Breakfast was fantastic.
The hotel has an open feel to it, very light and spacious.
Free parking.
Would definitely recommend .

This is a very comfortable hotel on the university campus, so just out of the city centre. Rooms are reasonable size with a full size bathroom. There’s a kettle coffee, tea and mugs.|Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The car park can be busy when there are events but we have always found a space.

Lovely hotel. Room was perfect, with a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom and a nice TV. Breakfast buffet was great, with a lot of choice and everything of quality. The hotel itself is beautiful and has convenient free parking for guests. Service was great as well.
