easy to find. 15min walk to the center. They have 4 small parc slots there. Or a park and ride close by. Nice room. Breakfast room with help yourself. You can hear the traffic really good, but during the night was it ok.

Great stay at this small family-run hotel. Good value overall. The owner was very responsive (try calling directly), and helped with early check-in and leaving our bags for a late departure. Comfortable bed. Very good Continental breakfast with better options than the typical hotel - milk, granola, good coffee. Nice hot shower.

The Osney arms is a gem in Oxford, the friendly staff! Amazing breakfast and warm nature makes for an excellent stay. I've been there 4 times this year and can't wait to come back. Osney is a lovely place to stay. Also walking distance to the railway station. Highly recommend it!

This is a difficult review to write - we have very mixed feelings. First of all, the recent owner seemed very nice and is trying hard to run the place on his own. He has attended to many good things - nice towels, a nice breakfast selection of European breakfast foods (not cooked) available, and great coffee. (Someone criticized the breakfast in a review and I feel there was no need for that. It was plentiful and fine.)||But the building is old and needs upkeep badly. I would not have booked here if I had seen some of the infrastructure pix: peeling paint, bad carpet, cracks in walls, I sympathize with the owner as regards the work that is necessary to make the place more attractive. ||Our room did not look like many of the lovely pix on the site. It was so small that, as the owner explained, there was no room for a chair. The only place to sit was on the bed. the bathroom, as is often the case in these budget accommodations that have been renovated, was tiny with exposed pipes and bad workmanship around plumbing fixtures. Chips and cracks. The sink drain was not connected. The light buzzed. ||The windows opened for fresh air and the curtains were good. TV and wifi were good.||It was also very quiet. It was easy to walk to from the train station and the central bus station. ||I hope the owner is able to make a go of this business. Inside, the walls are quite colourless, all a bland off-white. It could use some brightening! Also, I would advise him to remove the Xmas decorations from the dining room windows. It's quite tacky to have them up in September! The dining room features a beautiful antique wood table and nice chairs but the corners of the room are cluttered with "stuff." Without being genderist, I would say it needs a women's touch!

Self-service reception, which some people like and it keeps the cost down. Clean and very good value for the location. Breakfast is 'help yourself', but it is fresh, fully equipped and well-stocked.

"I recently stayed at Osney, and I couldnโ€™t be more pleased! From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely impeccable โ€“ the staff went above and beyond to ensure every part of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself is charming, beautifully maintained, and full of character, with lovely, cosy rooms that felt like a true home away from home.

The location is perfect for exploring nearby areas, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. Every detail in the room and around the hotel shows the attention and care put into making guests feel welcome. Breakfast each morning was a real treat, with fresh, local ingredients and plenty of options.

If youโ€™re looking for a hotel that combines amazing service with comfort and style, I canโ€™t recommend Osney enough. I absolutely loved my stay and will certainly be back!"

Room had not been cleaned properly (very dusty) and shower door had not been fixed. Came off when trying to close it - heavy and made of glass so dangerous. It is not 3 star. Room is very tired and for ยฃ105 a night should be refreshed annually. Owner gave a discount given the issues which was good but I wouldn't recommend staying here. Book more than 2 months ahead and hopefully you can find a better place to stay.

Pros: Convenient location (close to train and bus stops), check in was easy and straightforward, breakfast was ample and had lots of choices, the location was quiet and safe.||Cons: The breakfast room was cluttered and had lots of dying houseplants (not a great indicator for the condition of the rest of the institution), the heating was inconsistent (hallways very hot, bedroom very cold), the furniture was careworn and mismatched, giving one the impression of staying in a charity shop.||Overall, It's an allright place to stay while passing through, but it could use some maintenance and a de-clutter.
