This place is a tardis!
We stumbled across the tea rooms whilst exploring Holt.
We went in for a light snack for lunch and had a problem on our hands as everything looked delicious.
We decided to eat in, please note its best to book a table here, we were lucky to get a table by chance.
We had a cake each and coffee.
As soon as we sat down we were brought ice cold water with some lovely metal cups.
The service was really friendly, warm and welcoming.
It was super busy in there and the service was still fanstatic.
The mocha was very good!
We had a piece of the brownie which was soft and gooey, and the apple crumble cake with custard which was out of this world!
When leaving we were speaking to one of the staff about the sausage rolls as thinking about returning to pick some up on our route hone. She said we can order them in advance as everything is baked fresh daily and also means if sell out ours will be put by, great additional service! We ordered one of each of the sausage rolls and paid for them. We returned the next day and they were all packaged up ready.
So glad we got them, the gourmet sausage roll is something else!!!!!! The chorizo sausage roll is so unique and tastes amazing, and your typical sausage roll is better than most!

I really loved this place! I came here on our last day on holiday in Norfolk and it did not disappoint.

They have a huge menu and everyone I was with thoroughly enjoyed what they had to eat and drink. The Swiss hot chocolate was new for me and lovely and creamy and sweet - it felt quite decadent and had just the right amount of almond.

My breakfast was also really good- I and the sweet potato avocado and bacon on toast. The bacon and egg were delicious and full of flavour. I added on a sausage which was the same high quality taste. I would suggest swapping the sweet potato for normal toast as it wasn’t that crispy and a bit bland.

The staff were friendly and joked along with us which was really nice. You can have dogs in the outside area and they offered us blankets as it was a surprisingly cold day. The outside area is a bit basic and dreary but inside looked really cosy and inviting. I would definitely come back (without a dog this time!).

We were recommended on a wet day in October! The place was heaving, ( no availability!) the staff were so friendly and allowed my disabled mum to use their loo( which isn't a disabled one!) We found somewhere else but came back to buy some of their cakes. Pic of beetroot and treacle cake, choc brownies and the best ever treacle cake! All yummy and moist 🥰

We travelled down for breakfast, and was served by Sharon. We were very impressed by Sharon who went above and beyond in her service. The breakfast came out very quickly and was piping hot and tasted amazing. We left with a massive selection of bakes and goodies as we were struggling to choose as it all looked great! Sharon is a credit to the tea room!

Terrible service, terrible food and very overpriced.
The staff were rude and brash, no acknowledgement when we arrived. We waiting at the sign to be served and were ignored by no less than three members of staff, pushing their way through but not even taking the time for a simple greasing, let along an “excuse me”.
Once we were eventually acknowledged, we were argued with about having a booking and told they were full. When I provided evidence of the email confirmation of our booking, the waitress begrudgingly took us to a table (clearly not full).

We ordered a selection of sandwich’s, drinks and sweets, all much to our disappointment.
The match latte (if you can even call it that) was horrendous, tasted like cut grass, please learn how to make them properly! The tea was definitely not the one we ordered, however when we sent it back and reordered it still had the same weird taste.
All the food was very flavourless and tough, (so I’m assuming heated in a microwave), they claim using the finest local ingredients, which is the only thing I can see for them to justify the ridiculous prices of everything, despite that, the “local ingredients” certainly did not reflect in the quality or flavour of the food.
On top of all this, the food and drinks took and age to come out, and of course, zero apology for the overly long waiting times.

Very disappointed, would not recommend!

Very nice lunch in outdoor undercover heated facility. Efficient service nicely presented. Fairly priced at c.£10ph for the quality inc a hot drink. Booking could be useful, we were lucky! Dogs welcomed too! On our third visit very long wait from ordering to being served, kindly adjusting our bill accordingly waiving the drinks charge - but cost a *! Lovely crab sandwich, double fried egg sandwich and a sausage & bacon sandwich £35 - good value for excellent quality.

I was not impressed with the croque monsieur, the bread was so thin, the cheese was hard and no oozing, ham was sliced so thin and no mustard at all. Tasted like a thin cheese toasty. Shame really, it was £12ish for this, happy to pay this amount but it’s not worth it for the poor quality. The location was good, we managed to get a table, good atmosphere and the service was great. Coffee was great!
