Stayed two nights with a small party - Panmure Arms was near perfect! Efficient, friendly service, good meals with extensive menu, a cheery bar, popular with locals.
Well-situated at edge of Highlands; walking, golf, Edzell Castle, Fettercairn distillery close by.

Bedroom dated old furniture and fixtures, Bathroom, stained bath and shower curtain and needs a total replacement and refurbishment. Thin adjoining walls, you can hear every sound from the next room. Floorboards creek loudly throughout the upper floor. It’s more disappointing that these issues have been raised in many previous reviews and little or no action has been taken to address. You have been advised.

We stayed for four nights at the Panmure and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, with a newly refurbished bathroom. The housekeeping was excellent,with daily fresh white towels & tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. There was a good choice at breakfast, served by friendly, efficient staff- service with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed an excellent two course evening meal on our first night, with a lovely bottle of Merlot, for a very reasonable £64.70. We also shared a freshly made thin crust pizza,one evening which was superb. We felt that the drinks at the bar were also reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly, approachable and very happy to help. My tip would be to contact the hotel directly to get the best B&B price.

This is our 2nd visit! |We stayed in a lovely room with 4 poster bed. Bed comfy, room clean, staff welcoming. |Evening meal and breakfast cooked to order, good choice on menu. Cooked fresh to order, Enjoyed our meals.|Staff polite and checked in with you during meals and stay to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.|Some lovely local walks! Try the blue bridge walk.|Lovely hotel , we will be staying again on our next return to Scotland.

As always, a lovely stay. Alison was helpful and accommodating- allowing me to enjoy my lovely room and delivering me a delicious wood fired pizza. She also kindly leant me a phone charger overnight as I’d forgotten mine. I felt safe and settled as a solo traveller. Susan on the bar was so friendly and stared her knowledge of the local area, allowing me to explore a little further during my stay. I had a great nights sleep and will return again for sure.
