Rooms, very clean. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. The evening restaurant staff were attentive, but not overly so. Food quality at evening dinner and breakfast were very good.Great location for our purpose as overnight stay on way to Scotland

We came as our friend was getting married in the area. The hotel itself is very big and the gym and sauna seems quite good for a hotel. The rooms were quite big but our bed was firm on one side and very dipped on the other side, the decor was abit old fashioned but I liked the wood. The room was very warm and there is a ceiling fan rather than any air con, so maybe a summer visit should be cautionary.

The breakfast was a buffet style full English, food was topped up quickly but the coffee machine was very hit and miss. It does get very busy and the car park is huge, I liked there was EV charging at the back of the hotel which was very useful but only for supercharging.

We’ve stayed at the Park Royal several times over the past few years while visiting my son and his family. This was the best visit yet. ||The whole atmosphere of the hotel seems to have changed for the better. The staff are very friendly and efficient, much more so than previously. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service in the bar is much much better than before, when there weren’t many staff serving. In fact I have waited over 20 minutes to be served at least twice. This time it seemed as if the staff really cared. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff were the same. ||We didn’t eat in the restaurant as the one time we did dine there a couple of years ago, it was really bad. A long wait for food which was substandard to say the least. So we ate in the bar which was fine. ||The room was clean and comfortable. As we stayed for three nights we expected the room to be serviced after the second day, as was stated in the letter. This didn’t happen, not the end of the world, but should have been done. ||The last couple of years we’ve stayed in other hotels in Warrington as we’d found the Park Royal to be rather mediocre but this visit has changed our minds. Well done!

This is a very good hotel for families with children to stay. Rooms are OK. Amenities are good. Toilets won’t flush properly.
Excellent Pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Towels and soap are supplied. Nice changing rooms.
Nice restaurant with good hot breakfast and fancy coffee machines.
But less vegetarian choice for lunch and dinner.
Good Bar.

Most importantly very efficient and most friendly staff. Victoria at the front desk walks a mile extra for clients comfort.
Location is good in a non-busy rural area. Good to relax.
But the only caveat is no medical facilities near by. In an emergency the ambulance cannot reach within two hours and there is no hospital or emergency care nearby.
But the courtesy of the staff both at the hotel and restaurant compensate for its drawbacks.

Spa okay however treatments poor.
And to top this off Used got a fine for using their car park. Spa did not indicate that we would need to input car reg and were not helpful in resolving this resulting in me having to pay extra.
Would not use again and would not

I Booked for my girlfriend’s 30th and safe to say it was a disaster from start to finish. We checked into our room and it was filthy. I’d upload the photos if there was a section for them but there was rubbish in between the units, mould around the bathroom door (wiped off with tissue), dust literally all over the walls, thick cobwebs by the bedside table and ceiling and dead bugs above the bed light. Now I’m not usually too picky but this room had obviously only been surface cleaned for months for it to be how it was. So of course I went and spoke to reception and showed a few photos. The GM came and inspected and offered us a new room which we took. This one thankfully didn’t have rubbish or mould around the bathroom but we did have cobwebs and a fair few dead flies on the window sills. ||Anyway onto dinner which they did have us booked onto but came out missing elements to the dishes (crab starter) I had to go and find a waitress to rectify as they were huddled up clearly gossiping. Drinks came after the first course despite ordering them a good 15-20 minutes prior. Girlfriend had a medium steak for main and was well overcooked that she barely ate it. By this point I was getting embarrassed to keep complaining as this was just all within a few hours of checking in but we were here for two nights. ||Our Second day we had spa treatments and afternoon tea. Despite contacting the spa the previous day to ensure afternoon tea was booked (purchased as an additional)- this information hadn’t been received by the hotel so we wasn’t booked in for it. We found this out when we went to have it. Took a while to sort out as I had to go back to the spa which they said was sent over to the restaurant but they were unable to accommodate it as ‘they had nothing prepped for us as they didn’t know we were coming’. This was supposed to take place in the bar area. The spa treatments were good but there was a mix up on who had what treatment as they didn’t know despite me re sending the confirmation email. The pool was having baby swim lessons at the time we were using which was quite loud and the jacuzzi wasn’t working and didn’t see any info as too why or told when checking in. Did have a small steam room and sauna. Had to go back and ask for towels as they wasn’t provided to us when checking in either. Staff were lovely mind and rectified the towels. And lastly on our second morning (check out day and girlfriends actual birthday) we were gratuitously awoken at 6:30 to a false fire alarm screeching through the hotel. No one apologised or anything. We paid quite a lot of money £470 for the two night stay with treatments - and it was completely and utterly ruined and we couldn’t wait to check out.

The hotel as a whole was lovely. The room we booked was on the second floor and due to the weather, it was really hot. You wouldn't even notice the AC was on. The windows were also dirty. However, the staff were polite and kindly moved and upgraded our room to the superior king room downstairs. Unfortunately, there was no AC but a ceiling fan. It was cooler but still quite warm. We had £32PP to spend in the restaurant and were surprised with quite tasty food - I recommend the Roasted Scottish Sea Trout. as for the breakfast, you can't go wrong with it.

There were a few amenities in the hotel. The pool was quite big, but clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my Spa treatment by Rebecca. She was amazing. There was a gym which we didn't use, but looked like it was decently equipped.

The location was close to Cheshire Oaks Village and a 40-45min drive to Manchester.
