The view over the resevoir is something else, and with wildlife such as roe dear making an appearance, it is an idyllic and peaceful place.

The rooms are in keeping with mansions appearance and everything you need is in the room.

Lovely B&B - difficult to fault and easy to praise. Hosts friendly and welcoming, comfortable room and a truly first class breakfast. Great view of the reservoir from the dining room too? I stayed only one night but I would definitely return given the opportunity. Book with confidence. (Worth checking the turning into the drive on Google maps if you can - it's a bit of a hairpin turn if you're making a left travelling SE)

Very good stay! Patricia was very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is simple with everything you need. Old world touches make the experience a step back in time. Beautiful location near Bristol airport made this a perfect stop over. Breakfast was wonderful- cooked fresh with a great vegetarian option and a lovely view of the grounds and countryside. I would recommend this experience which is certainly different to that of a run-of-the-mill hotel!

I can't fault this place and look forward to going again soon. So relaxing and chilled here. Only a few bedrooms and breakfast included. The owners are really welcoming. Gardens beautiful and overlook the cheddar reservoir I was travelling to France the next day so a great start to my trip . A great find.

My stay was extremely enjoyable. The welcome I received from Roger was very warm. He showed me to my room on the 2nd floor. It was very much in keeping with the period building. My room was very spacious and it had all you needed within it. I found the bed to be very comfortable so I slept well both nights I was there. Breakfast was very good. Cereal, fruit juice, toast and a full English along with a big pot of tea. Just what you want to start the day. Looking out of the windows in the breakfast room you had a wonderful view of Cheddar reservoir. I would gladly recommend the parsonage to everyone.

Booked what we thought had been a lovely looking double room, on arrival got a very small, old, tired twin room with springs poking through the mattress, stained carpet, ensuite shower room was tiny and towels only slightly larger than hand towels. Very very disappointing. The only positive was the tasty breakfast of eggs and bacon. Unfortunately the photos on the web site and the descriptions are far from the reality for this room. Not what we had expected or booked.
