Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been many many places in my 50 years lifetime. I’ll keep this brief, just avoid even if you’re looking for a crash pad. It’s dirty, the rooms smell. The shower only spewed out boiling hot water from both hot and cold taps! However worst of all was the mattress, the springs were bulging through which meant for a very uncomfortable nights rest. Never ever again! Avoid, avoid, avoid! Makes premier in look like the Ritz!!

Dirty, unkept, grim.|This feels like a hotel you rent by the hour. My room is disgusting - no head board and big grease marks from other peoples heads all over the wall, sheets don’t fit the bed, carpets stained and soiled, mattress and bed base with staining, mouldy sink, bedside lights permanently on with no switch. The receptionist is the only redeeming feature- friendly and pleasant. The car parking is good too - but that’s it. |I feel like I’m going to catch something but now have no alternatives - I’m sleeping in my clothes as it’s making my skin crawl. I have a room with no natural light and the view of a brick wall. You can hear the local trains pulling up from the adjacent station. This cost £91 and I am disgusted. I have some photos, but even they don’t show the full extent of the conditions.

The positives…it was clean and the bed was comfortable. But…my sons electric key card wouldn’t work and he was locked out of his room for one hour, from 10pm to 11. There was no one on the desk to sort it out which was a big problem as his charger was in the room and his phone was running out of juice. Also…the shower…the owners really need to replace them. There is no sweet spot…either scolding hot or freezing. And the tiles in the bathroom, well one was missing so it looked a bit drab.

The room I had was dark, with hardly any natural light. The window looked onto a lowlit corridor that people walked past so I had to keep my curtains shut at all times.|The closet had a musty smell, so much so I didn't want to put anything inside. The bathroom was old and outdated. It didn't look anything like the photos. ||On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the location is very convenient. However, I'm very glad I was only staying for one night.

Small room.|Grubby carpet|Room smelt musty|Paintwork needed cleaning.|Pretty dire hotel to be honest. It was only a crash pad for a local celebration. The location was right for our needs.|This really is quite a shocking room for the money. We paid £150 which is about £100 too much.|And that’s without any suggestion of breakfast.|Premier Inn would be far cheaper, include a bar, restaurant and breakfast for a whole lot cheaper.|Daylight robbery.|Still, the celebration we went to was GREAT

Room was very dark, uplighting was a bit like kids nightlights. The reception was very polite. In town centre , near shops and restaurants.

It’s tired, it’s very basic, clean and functional but not somewhere I would use again. It’s basically a motel, a room with a bed a shower and a kettle. TV is old and dated , decor is very worn. No bar, no breakfast just a room. It’s comparable to a Travelodge.|At £75 it would be acceptable value but it’s hugely overpriced.

AWFUL! How I wished I read the Tripadvisor before I booked! ||The room STANK! The bathroom in particular and it was unbearable to go inside with door shut, mixture of drains and damp, just disgusting. We had an awful night sleep because of the smell and couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. ||We mentioned it to the lady on checking out and her response…. ‘I’m shocked, it wasn’t like that when I personally checked it yesterday’ Not a sorry insight. She just kept repeating how shocked she was. Well after checking the reviews I’m shocked she didn’t know about the previous complaints. Im shocked that they allow people to spend a lot of money on a room that is disgusting and I’m shocked they are allowed a 3 star rating. I’m also shocked at the terrible customer service. I emailed the hotel and have heard nothing back. They clearly have a problem with the drains and the damp, just fix it and don’t let people spend their money until you do - do the right thing. ||Anyway I’m sure they won’t be shocked at this review! Such as shame as an apology would have gone a long way. ||All in all a grotty, shabby and dirty hotel with appalling customer service. ||Please please please do not stay here!
