Amazing. Simply amazing. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the atmosphere was exceptional. I unfortunately didn't get the name of our waiter however the young gentleman really made the experience extraordinary, he was comparable to some Michelin star waiters. The Pig is one of the little gems in this area. The location was perfect for a countryside retreat and although I didn't stay overnight I can understand the high ratings for this place. A memorable evening for everyone. Well worth it and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, local and visiting the area.

We’ve been visiting The Folly in October to celebrate a friend’s Birthday since it opened. We love the setting and atmosphere, we’re never rushed. Thanks to Lee and Sophie yesterday’s visit was particularly super. They were personable and resourceful offering just the right amount of attention with good humour. |Our Piggy bit nibbles were served on a platter which was inspired a great for sharing. The flatbreads more generous than in the past and delicious. |Couldn’t have been bettered.

Just returned from staying at The Pig in Combe and absolutely loved our stay! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is stunning and our bedroom was particularly beautiful and well sized. We opted for the veg and bed option which was amazing value for money. The food was all fantastic as well as the treatment I had too. My only regret is staying just the one night! Hope to return one day!

Oh where to start.. booked last minute for a late lunch for my husband’s 40th. Him being a chef and a massive foody it seemed the perfect place. It was breathtaking, the food was insane with every mouthful, the service incredible, attentive but not intrusive. We couldn’t fit in pudding but went for a long walk around the unbelievable kitchen gardens, on the way back they stopped my husband to wish him a happy birthday and to give him cake. |We cannot wait to return x

We had an anniversary dinner at The Pig and it was lovely, our waiter was amazing and the food was great. The only thing I would say is that once your dessert comes and you are not spending anymore money, they will see to other guests and you are not seen to again. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to come back to our table and give us the bill. Other than that, it was a lovely dinner in a beautiful location.

Staff were friendly and the service was good., especially at breakfast. The room was good, spacious with a good view ( we had booked a comfy luxe room). Breakfast was fine, although I didn’t sample the cooked options. The main disappointment was the evening meal. Main courses are fairly basic and puddings are quite poor. Not much imagination or flair. The cost of dinner is ridiculously high for such an offering. Three courses with a glass of wine came to about £180 for two. |The ‘free’ cake served at 4 pm was very poor. Rather dry and slathered in butter icing. Well, if you like that kind of thing….|It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and one evening they offered us a treat. Perhaps a glass of Prosecco we thought. No, a small glass of flavoured ice! Wow. As we were there for four nights they offered to do something ‘off menu’ for us. We asked if they could do a soufflé for dessert. Alas no. They could do a baked chocolate pudding instead. Obviously, pastry is not their strong suit.

A surprise stay at The Pig arranged by our family. The room was beautiful, located on the first floor overlooking the grounds at the front of the hotel and afar. Had the best night's sleep in peaceful surroundings. Looked forward to having breakfast the following morning. There was a good choice on offer in the buffet section, I opted for a cooked breakfast, poached eggs with smashed peas on sourdough. The eggs were overcooked and hard, sat on top of peas, not smashed but looking like they'd been thrown on the plate. Tea was served in a small pot, and there was no offer made to provide another pot, I had to ask. In summary, this is a lovely hotel, the breakfast was not, and definitely not worth the money. I feel that I should have brought this to the attention of the staff at yye time. Big mistake on my part

I was treated to a two night stay at the lovely Pig at Combe by my wife for my birthday and our wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous time.

We were also with our 14 month old daughter and they were really accommodating. Our room was spectacular with amazing views of the rolling green hills and forest. The best was very comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need including a baby cot.

The place itself is lovely with fantastic restaurants/food and drinks. I loved all the hangout areas with their individual fireplaces and the service was impeccable.

Location is great with plenty of parking and only a short 15 minute drive to Honiton and the shops.

If you’re looking for a great place to celebrate or just have a lovely getaway then I highly suggest staying here.
