Food and service was good, decor and atmosphere was nice, that's where the compliments end.|My wife and I had fillet steak which was lovely, but the difference in the size of the 2 steaks was easy to spot, mine was nowhere near the 10oz that was ordered, still nice but very expensive, don't mind paying if food is good. The bill arrived and this is the taking the mick bit, so 2 starters, 2 beef fillet mains, 3 lagers for the wife, 2 j20 with a dash of soda water come to around £130, on closer inspection i noticed i had been charged £2 for soda water, so for less than half a pint of fizzy water i was charged £4. Sorry but that is just pure greed. Won't be returning any time soon, thanks but no thanks

We have had the best time celebrating our wedding at the peppered pig the rooms all clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. Very big portions so felt bad leaving food on the plate.
On the day of the wedding the venue was brilliant Debbie organised the whole day and Jo decorated the venue both exceeded my own expectations.
All the guest had a wonderful time.
Thank you everyone for the best day ever.
I would highly recommend the peppered pig for any venue type.
We have visited on occasions for meals and will continue to eat there in the future. Thank you mr and mrs Jackson xx

Fantastic for food. Possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had, and the rest of the table's food was fantastic as well. It's on the pricier side, but not by a lot and you get more than your money's worth.

Really lovely place to stay. Quiet location, staff are very caring and friendly. the rooms are well appointed and very clean. The food is amazing and very good value for money. We will stay there again, when in that area. Thank you

Property is nice, staff are polite and breakfast is great. Property is well maintained.

Only issue is the noise in the evening as staff leave late and arrive early in the morning due to the restaurant.

Walls seem thin and can hear most stuff happening

We were a party of 10 attending a wedding, those who stayed were delighted with the food , service and the rooms which were comfortable and clean.
The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the Peppered Pig .

We went for a snack lunch

We were shown to a table by the front of house lady , very pleasant,
Then we sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to offer us any kind of service.
I called the waiter over he had stated to clean and reset tables.
There was a table of 3 a table of 4 and a table of 1 , in the whole of the restaurant with two tables of people outside.
We ordered our drinks and food, then we waited another 25 minutes before I asked were our food was , I was given a kind of apology and was told it would be 5 minutes.
While we sat and waited the male waiter was busily with re- setting/ cleaning tables, but during this task he kept touching his face , wiping his beard .
Then put out the cutlery. At no point did he wash his hands!
Very poor hygiene practices, I did mention this to the Front of House staff.
My cheese and onion peninni was served burnt on the underside , and was not edible.
On leaving I again expressed my disappointment to the same person, I said that I would pay for my partners meal and our drinks, but not my meal.
At no point was I offered a proper apology.
Needless to say I would not go back again.

I came to Peppered pig on a business trip, I had room number 8 with a bedroom, a small living room and a bathroom equipped with a bath.

No noise during the night and the mattress was good.

The place is pleasant, the staff friendly and the restaurant is excellent with very generous portions.
