Popped in here twice in past few weeks & really enjoyed it both times. Had a couple of drinks first visit then decided to grab some lunch second visit. Had the chicken burger & it was really tasty. Both times the young lady working here has been really friendly & welcoming. Some nice walks out this area & if you fancy a drink while there then definitely give this pub a try. I'll be back again soon, keep up the good work ?.

Arrived at this pub after a lovely coastal path walk, hot and tired and in need of a drink.
What a lovely pub it is. It was day of England's quarter final and we hadn't booked but staff were happy for us to sit at a reserved table until they arrived, which they didn't, so we ended up staying for food and to watch the game ?
The beers are really good local brews, very tasty, and delicious fresh cooked pizza.
The atmosphere was very welcoming, warm and friendly and this is credit to the lovely staff working there. Everyone of them was friendly, smiley and ensured everyone felt welcomed and comfortable.
Thank you for a great evening

We had a one night stay during our coastal path charity hike.
The cafe/ bar area has a great chilled out vibe. The bar team were fantastic, really approachable and helpful.
Food and drink were hood and reasonably priced.
The room was well equipped, with extras in the hallway if needed. The beds were comfy, the bathroom extra spacious and we had everything we needed.
I didn't realise about the external shape of the building until we returned from the very nearby sandy beach. It's a great location.
I'd return to discover the area again. I'd also recommend The Pilot Boat Inn as a great place to eat, drink and stay.
Thanks to George and the Team!

£100 / night including light breakfast seems to be at the budget-end for Isle of Wight.

We stayed in the ‘Port’ room, upstairs. Room and bathroom were compact, with a kettle and very small TV, no wardrobe. I wouldn’t recommend this room for anyone with large bags or a lot of gear. I believe the rooms vary in size (and £).

There were hooks and hangers on the wall for a few items which is fine for a weekend. French doors allow fresh air.

Simple breakfast - not cooked- suited us.
George had great local recommendations for sightseeing.

The road adjacent is fairly busy. It didn’t keep me awake, but depends what you’re used to.

Downstairs is a small restaurant and microbrewery. Good casual food and beer. Suggest you book as it’s a small dining space and the outdoor area doesn’t have a nice view.

Food stops at 8.30pm and I’m not sure when the bar closes (not late).

We didn’t spend that much time in Bembridge, but it was good value accommodation with the convenience of food onsite and a beach for walks nearby (depends on tide).

We sailed here from Southampton and this place was recommended to us by locals.
We were pleased to find it very dog friendly as we have two.
The food on the whole was very nice...... a great pizza, great beef burger, great chicken burger.
However, the plain Ceasar salad would have been very disappointing......
(£9 for lettuce croutons and a few slivers of cheese)
but paying the extra for the chicken made it enjoyable.
Overall a very good experience with really friendly staff. And a nice atmosphere.

I stayed one night in the Port room with French doors, which was lovely to sleep with it open and the road outside not busy all night at all, even in high season. £100 budget suited me as a carer on a well deserved mini break. Breakfast is not a cooked affair, cereal toast fruit and yogurt. George a really nice chatty engaging host. For dinner I had the plant based burger with mozzarella cheese in the pub downstairs and it was delicious actually, burger soft and tasty. Took a lovely long walk along the pretty bay looking at all the very interesting houseboats.

Stayed here for a night a couple of weeks ago with my husband and toddler. The room was lovely and well-equipped and so comfortable. Loved the continental breakfast the next day too. Very friendly host.

We just called in here for a drink after being let down with a prior reservation for food elsewhere. And it was just what we needed. Friendly service great ales especially the black IPA. So nice we stayed for lunch which we could not fault so maybe things happen for a reason. Would definitely recommend.
