Lovely little log cabin in the woods. Everything was there except information regarding local amenities( I forgot the milk), |Couldn’t leave the windows open at night because of the wonderful bugs around so it was quite stuffy. I suggested maybe a window with mesh so the air could circulate wouldn’t fancy the cabin in the middle of summer., |All in all a pleasant weekend away.

Great country house for large gatherings, sleeps 14. Huge garden, trampoline, football pitch, pool and access to a woodland walk at the bottom of the garden. Lovely views and a short drive from Gloucester for supermarket etc. Owned by a very welcoming family who live in the grounds so they are on hand for any issues. Would stay again.

This place is magical, amazing, breathtaking, peaceful, tranquil and more. We stayed in the log cabin and loved every moment. It was comfortable and had everything we needed and wanted. The owners David and Carol are lovely people who are kind, helpful and thoughtful. The surroundings are just stunning and so nice to wander around the forest and nature trails. The pinetum is not far at from Gloucester only a few miles and also lots of supermarkets a couple of miles away too. We will be visiting again.

We have just had the most wonderful few days in the log cabin. It was absolutely perfect! The cabin is cozy and we loved that it was rustic but had all the mod cons you could ask for! We weren’t really looking for a busy break as I’m expecting a baby but our dog Luna absolutely loved her walks around the grounds and all the smells! There is a beautiful treehouse and the path around the property is great for a stroll! ||We will definitely be back! I would highly recommend for a nice relaxing getaway from reality!

Fantastic stay in this enchanting log cabin. We were met by David and Carol who were just so friendly! The cabin itself is charming and rustic but with modern touches - mood lighting sky tv quirky bath area! The animal noises of a night take some getting used to especially the ones on the roof! We took a walk through the woods which was lovely so much to explore. You can easily shut yourself off from the world here if you want to as you won’t see anyone or you can easily reach local amenities by driving down the very long dirt track to the main road. Perfect for everyone. We will definitely be coming back! Fabulous ?

The Cedar Barn is splendidly equipped - everything you could need for a sort (or longer) stay. Owners very helpful. Beautiful surroundings and clear paths for walking in the old pine forest. We really enjoyed our weekend stay.

Stayed in the log cabin for three nights, it was wonderful. Everything we needed was available to us, and the bath/shower is luxurious. The setting is very peaceful with the woods on all sides, especially when sitting on the deck.

We stayed at the main house (10 adults + 1 child) for Christmas 2017. From the very moment we booked the property both David & Carol were incredibly helpful. As a large party coming from afar (UK, OZ & France!) We had a lot to organise and they were always at the end of an email or phone call to help us sort everything - including sourcing our Christmas ham, goose & salmon!||||The house itself is SO homely and cosy, clearly been well-loved by David & Carol's family through the years. The bedrooms were plenty for a group of 10 of us and the large drawing room with open fires at each end were perfect for our Christmas setting! The eat in farmhouse kitchen is heated by an aga (which took a bit of getting used to) but in the end was a dream. ||||The area is remote, but has fantastic walks and brilliant pubs close by. ||||Would totally recommend staying here as a large group for Christmas, would love to return one day, perhaps during the summer months to make use of the swimming pool!||||Thank you David & Carol for making our stay a memorable one :)||||Peter, Celia + family.
