We love the food here as the general, the Sunday & specials menus are all full of great choices. We have always had excellent food & service. My only slight criticism is that the last time we went the recipe seemed to have changed on the beetroot/liquorice cheesecake which was my absolute favourite but hey ho it means that I need to try other desserts & find a new go to! Have never stayed here however we have thought about it so that we can relax & enjoy some drinks too, especially as the rooms & the breakfast look amazing!

We were catching up with friends in the heart of rural Kent. The Plough is very attractive, warm and welcoming. The staff were delightful. We had an excellent meal and had booked a room for the night. Richard and Marianne have created a beautiful set of suites in a barn slightly removed from the main building. It was very quiet. We were in Hornbeam, they are all named after trees and each has a different wild life theme inside ours was ducks. Beautiful wood has been used as window sills and headboards. I really loved our headboard and want one at home! The bathroom was large and well appointed with both a bath and walk in shower. Breakfast was ordered the night before and delivered in a hamper the next morning. It was then laid out on the dining table upstairs in the living area. A good breakfast with lovely coffee and local apple juice. Much attention has been given to details and you felt everyone wanted to provide the best service possible. We will definitely revisit and I’m sure it’s delightful in the summer.

Myself and my partner had the most enjoyable time staying overnight at The Plough Inn for his birthday in November 2024. It is a beautiful country pub and the accommodation is amazing - our room was absolutely beautiful. We were shown to our room by a lovely lady and I must say - they really have thought of everything! They even provide a torch to help you when going to the pub! Our dinner was delicious – we both had the rib eye steak. Marianne brought us our breakfast the next day which was also very tasty! She is such a lovely lady and made us feel so very welcome. We will definitely be returning in 2025....!!

Firstly, absolutely beautiful food. We had the soup, lamb, crab tacos and the pie followed by deserts. All top class and faultless. Lovely atmosphere in the pub.

Secondly, the room was amazing. Panoramic views of the countryside and far reaching views of the sea. Breakfast was also amazing, which was delivered to us at the morning.

Excellent service and staff. We will definitely be returning, next time with the pooches!

Stayed overnight this weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. Welcomed as soon as we arrived and taken over to our accommodation which was stunning and perfect. All finished to a very high standard. We did the fairly easy 2.5 mile walk and got back for dinner. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Marianne and Richard were amazing hosts and we enjoyed our stay so much we would love to come again. Really lovely place

Didn't stay so unable to rate the rooms but the staff and service - excellent, very friendly and helpful. As for the food, also excellent with the husband remarking his desert was banquet worthy ( to quote the great British menu judges) A great lunch in a great pub.

It's one of the best gastropubs in Kent. We have been served by Emily. The service was excellent so as the food. The staff made every effort to make us feel welcome. The scotch eggs were cooked to perfection. Such a lovely place... Will definitely return
