Family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit for lunch. The food was delicious and very well presented with a warm friendly welcome from the staff. I had the fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish was Haddock and was the best I have ever had.

Thank you, We will be returning soon.

Our first time and we were impressed The owners have done a great job of refurbishing the pub. Good signage and lovely flowers outside. We weee greeted warmly by staff and had plenty of delicious food. The toilets were clean although there was a dodgy flush in the ladies. We will be back

We were a party of six, midweek evening. Starting with the positives, the Β£30 ploughmans sharer was top notch! Generous amount, fresh & great quality. Will be returning just to have this again. The steak burger and sea bass were also enjoyed. Servers were friendly, however the one lady we had taking our order couldn't answer any of our questions re allergens or specials without having to keep running to the kitchen. She had no idea about the seafood specials that had been advertised as available on social media (after she checked we were told that they weren't ready yet). Unfortunately not coeliac friendly, VERY limited options for any dietary requirements - only 2/3 gluten free options and even then we were told they couldn't guarantee it would be completely safe. Two of our party tried the chicken tikka, this unfortunately did not hit the mark at all. Large cubes of tasteless chicken and a sauce that seemed like it came from a jar, sadly didn't go down well at all. Definitely not worth the Β£20 price point, expected fresh shredded chicken and homemade sauce at that price. Atmosphere was very noisy, music too loud. Overall an enjoyable meal and we will return for the fab ploughman's but might wait until the menu is expanded a little and things have settled - sadly wouldn't recommend for anyone with dietary requirements.

Visited for a carvey today with no booking for 6 people. Was able to accommodate with seating outside. Food was delicious, staff was friendly, checked on us the whole time and even cleared plates as soon as we finished. Was very busy but made to feel like us arriving was no bother.

Great place for kids and dogs, very friendly. Service was quite slow as not many staff and very busy. Food was yum and big portions.

Quick visit on the way home, all clean and tidy. Good food and drinks. Cracking pint of Jail Ale plus lots of keg beers. For townies the dreaded BD on tap too. 😒 Otherwise a great locals pubs, well worth a visit. πŸ‘πŸ˜

Excellent carvery for Sunday lunch. So much meat! Great choice of veg. All hot. Staff went the extra mile to accommodate our preferences. I am married to a chef who served 300 meals a day, and this was equally as good as he did. Very tasty. Tip top
