A group of us met here for lunch. We had expected the lunch menu but apparently that’s only served during the summer season. We ate off the evening menu, not a big choice, but adequate. A couple went for the Thai green curry, which was described as nice but not spicy enough. Another had a pork dish , I’m told it was good. I had the teriyaki salmon with noodles and vegetables. The salmon itself was good, the noodles were a mix of soft ones drowning in sauce and crispy , chewy ones with no flavour, the vegetables were almost nonexistent. I understand this is a fairly new business, regarding food it needs to up its game, with a few tweaks it could be a good place . We are considering trying the Sunday lunch. The look of the bar area is interesting, quirky would be a good description. The dining room was in black and silver, with mirrors, I expect it looks nice in the evening. The young lady, the only member of staff we saw, who served in the bar and waited on us in the restaurant was very pleasant.

Very poor value for money. Our room had a comfortable bed but proverbially, one could not swing a cat round. The 4 nights cost nearly £800 and included breakfast that was very good. My cousin, on arrival, (she is incapacitated and struggles to walk with a stick), was told along with her 92 year old husband that their room had been reallocated to upstairs. There being no lift my cousin explained that they had arranged for a ground floor room because she could not make the stairs. This was honoured, but the room was like a dark cell with dark brown walls, a wash basin that had a screen around it and a pokey little cupboard room for toiletries with a wonky toilet seat. Our other friends spoke to Simon but he seemed nonplussed when told that all three rooms were poor value. Our friends paid an extra £100 for a Superior room. This was slightly larger than ours but would figure well down a league table of Superior rooms. During our stay, we realised that it was pet friendly, but we thought that things had gone too far when dogs were allowed into the restaurant. There is one plus to relate and that is, the staff were very good and the young waitresses in the restaurant had the patience of Job as they had to wait for some time to serve up our orders. No complaints about the food if it wasn't for the delay in service. Simon is a lucky man to have such good staff to cover for his distinct absences when the daily business is taking place. I cannot see this hotel lasting long under the current setup. It's sad to write this because of the staff, but it had to be done .

Fantastic and lovely hotel. Trendy decor, nice rooms, comfy bed, & great location. The owner was superb and all of the staff were super friendly. The full English breakfast was really good and very generous by the excellent chef Anthony. We found the owner to be super kind and we will definitely return to the Q Hotel the next time we visit the Isle of White.

This could be an outstanding place to stay but there a few issues which need improving. Very reasonably priced but rather make the improvements and charge 25% more.||The good…||Pleasant staff, excellent breakfast, great location close to beach and old village, heated pool and sauna, nice bar area with reasonably priced drinks and good bar food menu. EXTREMELY dog friendly. ||The improvements…||Cleaning services were unreliable. Last thing anything wants on holiday is chasing management for rooms to be made up and bathrooms cleaned. This is a basic of a hotel holiday stay. Or rather advertise as aparthotel/airbnb.||The twin room was too small for 2 people. Either convert those rooms into singles with decent sized en-suite and good shower or merge with another room and create a luxury size room. Room number 2 was simply too small for 2 people for a holiday. For an overnight B&B OK, but not for 2+ days. The superior double, however, was great.||Somewhat frustrating writing a review like this. The good aspects of this hotel are really great. The improvements are like the hotel scoring an own goal.

Hotel is well located and very well appointed yes colour scheme is all brown but it suits the building. Rooms have everything and are comfortable. Breakfast was great. I was lucky to grab a swim before it was winterised, most invigorating indeed!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lady at reception was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a really relaxing swim, and the sauna was much needed after our hike.
Brilliant location, close to the high street and waterfront!
It took me a second to set up TV, but it does work! Just unplugged and replugged and set to DTV (digital TV) and that seemed to work.
Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!
