This was our first visit to the Queens head but based on our experience won’t be our last. Got there a little early so we could check the place out, typical old English pub with a few locals having a beer, all very friendly and welcoming. The young lady behind the bar Esme took our order but card machine wasn’t working but no problem she set up a tab. ||We decided to have some food so my wife ordered the pork tenderloin and I had the burger. Always a good test, basic but can get wrong very easily have to say both excellent and what was more impressive was it came with hand cut chips none of these frozen rubbish. If you only have the chips you will not be disappointed both my wife and myself said it reminded us of our childhood when your mum made chips! ||Our waitress Esme was also really good attentive but not over bearing. As it was very busy she managed to get us a table in the bar area as there was live music which was Xmas themed very good band. Locals very welcoming chatting to us like we had been regulars great atmosphere. ||Will be returning, specially thank you to Esme for looking after us so well.

We had our Wedding here last Saturday. Simon and Harriet were great, they listened to what we wanted and helped make a great menu for our guests. Every single person loved the food, no complaints about how the food was cooked, the chef really knows how to cook a steak properly. The breakfast was great too. Nicole was especially amazing, everything we asked for was met with a ‘yes of course’. The venue is such a nice little gem that made our wedding feel intimate. I would definitely recommend visiting this place to eat and have a wedding

we had our wedding ceremony and reception here. the venue Is absolutely stunning, the food on the day was amazing and there were so many compliments about it! the bedrooms were just what we needed after a busy day. We cannot thank Harriet and Simon enough for accommodating all of our requests, Nicole, Dylan and all of the staff worked extremely hard to ensure our day ran smoothly and fuss free. We would definitely recommend this as a stunning option for anyone considering wedding venues! Thank you all so much!!

Beautiful venue for our wedding in June.
The staff have been outstanding throughout the planning process and on the day itself everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, all our guests gave us so much positive feedback. We had several different dietary requirements including allergies and the team were not phased by any of it. The unexpected touches of our own favourite drinks waiting for us upon our arrival and the port after dinner just gave it all that extra personal touch. We would like to thank the whole team for all their help and hard work, you helped make our day so much more memorable.

As soon as we stepped into the queens head inn, we knew this was the wedding venue for us! The management and staff listened to us and helped us with our requirements with ease, a special shout out to Dylan and Nicole who were on hand the day before and throughout the day of the wedding, there support and knowledge was seamless. The food! The food was delicious, we opted for the BBQ option and it was great we could change a few dishes that suited our style. We also booked some rooms and they were spacious, comfy and seemed to have everything you would need for your stay. But what also makes this place so special, as well as the team, is the outdoor space! Perfect place for people to gather, chill and relax. All of our guests loved the ‘pop up’ welcome bar by the river and it’s the perfect backdrop for any photo you take!

food - simple but tasty - great staff. easy, nothing fancy just what was needed |burger and chips just as ordered and great puddings - roulade and pavlova followed by a cuppa, would book, got busy. dont go if looking for posh, but go if looking for simple and quick 🙂

From the 1st meal to,the final night what a horrible experience. A hostess that could not cook or careless. A room that stank was cold sterile and with things running around in the attic. |A beautiful village with a potentially lovely inn. Sadly no. A clueless owner that agreed our room stank but did not know off what and seemed not to care. A supper of fish n chips how hard can that be. Apparently too hard. Watery on frozen white fish with a green paste and tasteless tartar sauce. Breakfast it would seem poaching an egg was impossible. The rest swimming in grease and Luke warm. So,poor we resisted the inclusion the following morning|Our room. Sterile cold scruffy but it smelt The smell got,worse and was never identified. |I am sorry but shabby and cold with a young staff doing their best but with clueless uninterested owners they don’t stand a chance
