I attended a wedding reception here on Monday 30 June. The venue is beautiful and the marquee was stunning. The owner was so attentive topping up our drinks on arrival . Food was delicious. I would certainly recommend this pub and will be returning frequently.

Had lunch at this pub today after a walk with friends. The food was fantastic and excellent value for money. We each had different main courses and would have enjoyed any of them. Clearly home made and the portion sizes are very generous. The service was friendly too. We will definitely be going again when we walk in that area!

We regularly use this pub, even though it is a 40 minute drive away, food is excellent. Staff are friendly and welcoming, facilities are great. Good range of drinks available. Do yourself a favour and try the steak pie!

Just had an evening meal here. Fabulous. Good quality ingredients cooked with care and flair. Well priced. Friendly, efficient staff. Nice setting. We've lived in the area for a long time but hadn't tried the Red Lion before. We will certainly be back there.

Easily bookable lunches for groups of ramblers in fine walking area. Many choices of excellent food and drinks in lovely country pub with good parking.We were made to feel really welcome and will certainly visit again in the future. Highly recommended.

The owner Marc is so welcoming, and the pub is simply my favourite in Surrey. Not pretentious, just what you want an English pub to be. Can’t top their food, and service always comes with a family atmosphere with smiles everywhere. Can’t fault it

Mixed feelings about this pub. On the one hand I really liked the pub with a great selection of drinks, ample parking and plenty of character (if not to everyone's taste). The service, as noted in other reviews, was excellent. I was, however, underwhelmed by the quality of the food. Whilst portion size was generous, the roast beef I was served was over cooked and consisted of thin slices of dried out and fairly tasteless beef. I suspect it was a Brakes Bros (or similar) catering portion - a big no no in my book for any establishment aspiring to serve a quality roast. It was also bizarrely (for my taste) served with onion gravy, which was not noted on the menu. Unfortunately I can't stand onion gravy and having to remove the smothering of onions from my plate was tiresome at best, but it also did not remove the taste. On top of the poor quality beef this really ruined the food for me and what should have been a great Sunday lunch.

Fantastic pub, three real ales available, the meat pie was one of the best we've had anywhere. Landlord and staff were excellent. Rooms were large and well maintained. Pity we don't live closer!
