It was a wonderful relaxing break. I had the best room with the best view. I stayed here last year too. Both times the staff were amazing. So many staff on hand which is unusual. Always extremely helpful. The whole hotel had a really nice vibe. I love the fact the hotel in right on the beach it's a rare find. The beach is deserted too. You can walk along the beach and it is really therapy for the soul. I had the Sunday roast which was far too large for me. But it was very nice. |Other nights I had fish it was a lighter meal which suited me better. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were always on hand and attentive. I booked the spa, I was so lucky to have Siobhan for a massage. She was outstanding. The spa is a bit small but I preferred that. Its all new an has a beautiful decor. I've been to quite a few spas which are often too big. I also liked the products. |The trainee Manager Franklin was just there for just a few days. He took the time to meet me to discuss my feedback (all good). |It's a comforting hotel an I felt as a solo traveller so at home. Can't wait to return.

I visited the spa today with my best friend for a much needed catch up and pamper, we found the spa itself pretty small and over subscribed with people, when we arrived there were lots of people there and no seats or beds for us to sit/lay on. We then had to remind the receptionist that we had pre ordered smoothies and the one I wanted wasn’t available, but I chose an alternative which was lovely. Then we enjoyed our treatments. I can’t remember the name of my therapist but she was amazing and the treatment room was fabulous, it was however a little cold so it would have been nice to have had the massage beds heated. However I wouldnt hesitate to come back and have a massage with the same therapist as she was absolutely amazing! We were however slightly disappointed as both myself and my friend paid for the extra 10 minutes to make our treatments 60 minutes long. However, this also wasn’t actioned so we just had 50 minutes, which was a tad disappointing. When we spoke to the receptionist she apologised but didn’t seem like she was initially going to offer us our money back or offer anything to cover the amount we had paid. The receptionist then told us that our lunch reservation was 1.15pm which we had missed and our table had been given to someone else, we then questioned this asking how could our lunch reservation have been 1.15pm when our treatments wouldn’t have ended till 1.30pm
really bad planning and non communication between departments. We then were told that they had managed to secure us a table at 2pm, I then found an email from the spa saying that our lunch was originally booked for 2pm, so when I questioned this with the spa receptionist and said we never had lunch booked for 1.15pm and showed her the email from the spa confirming lunch at 2pm, the receptionist was confused. We then went to lunch and the restaurant was packed and we waited over an hour for our food and then another 20 minutes for our dessert. By this point I was in a hurry as I had left my puppy for longer than I had planned at home alone. When we went back to the receptionist after our lunch instead of our money back for the extra 10 minutes on our treatments that we’d purchased that we didn’t get, we were offered a free drink
. I said no as we’d just purchased a glass of Prosecco with lunch which we have already paid for and now we are in a hurry to leave! The receptionist then had to call her manager again to ask if we could just get a refund for the additional treatment time that we had purchased but hadn’t received, she finally when we were leaving said they could do that. ||||It’s a shame as the spa itself is lovely but several things went wrong for us during our visit today. I would say that if over subscribed the spa isn’t enjoyable as you can’t access the facilities properly and you are fighting for the heated relaxation beds. Also there are no bins or tables to put your drinks on in the relaxation room which meant we had to put our drinks on the floor. It’s also rather cold in this room so some cosy blankets would have been a welcome addition.||||Also if I can note
. We were told we could go up to eat in our robes, when we walked in the packed restaurant no one was in their robes and we felt VERY embarrassed and uncomfortable! We’d have preferred that the staff said get dressed as the restaurant won’t have anyone else in their spa robes and wed have avoided getting a lot of strange looks. I think the food should have been given to us in the spa lounge area as this would have been perfect and we wouldn’t have wasted nearly 2 hours of our spa day waiting in a busy restaurant for our food.

My wife had arranged a visit to this hotel as an Easter surprise for me, and I was so glad that she did. Within 5 minutes of being there, I wanted to arrange a follow up visit. Why? Because of the greeting from the reception staff, and other young members of staff that we met in those first minutes. They say that first impressions are so important, and this hotel has got it down to perfection. |Two of the young women in the restaurant were also so welcoming, and took such good care of us, so congratulations to Amber and Grace as they are a great asset to the hotel.|Although I never met any of the chefs, I would like to thank them for the quality of the food that they produced. Very tasty, and presented in a modern and stunning manner.|We shall be back before July to have a longer stay.

We recently celebrated my birthday with a seaside picnic at the Relais Cooden Beach, and it was truly magical. As someone based in London, I was looking for a location that felt like a getaway without the stress of travel - and this was delivered perfectly. Just two hours, and you find yourself by the sea with views, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere.||The staff were incredibly friendly, supportive, and attentive. The events team made the whole planning process smooth, and on the day, everything ran effortlessly thanks to their help.||The location is stunning-right on the beach-and perfect for hosting an intimate gathering.||A heartfelt thank you to the entire teamđŸ‘đŸ»

My stay at the Cooden a beach Hotel was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable, especially liked the separation of the bed and sitting area. The bathroom was also very nice. The staff were very professional and friendly and there for and questions or queries. The food was lovely and a great touch on the room service aswell if wanted a quiet night In. The view is always amazing at the Cooden Beach and a frozen strawberry daiquiri in the sun hit the spot. Will deffently be staying again and recommending to friends and family.

Champagne afternoon tea, the Egg, Smoked Salmon and Cheese & Pickle sandwiches were lovely but the Ham sandwich only had one wafer thin slice of tasteless ham and little else. |Scones, both fruit & plain very good with pot of cream and Blackcurrant, Strawberry & Raspberry Jam. Additional cakes included Victoria Sponge, Meringue, Chocolate Cake and Lemon Drizzle Cake.|During the afternoon we were offered more tea and received excellent service from Harrison and a blonde female colleague. Thanks.

The hotel is very nicely decorated, feels incredibly warm and cozy and the overall atmosphere is just stunning.

We loved the food, especially the lamb! Breakfast offer was wide ranged and delicious too. Everything was served fast by the attentive staff.

The hotel spa, which is also beautifully decorated, has really friendly staff. The saunas lacked a bit of heat but the experience was really relaxing.

Overall we had an amazing time and really recommend visiting this beautiful hotel !
