My wife and I stayed at this lovely coaching inn for two nights. Ample parking. Check in was easy with a coded key safe at the entry to the accommodation, code provided by the owners. The accommodation was of a very high standard and exceptionally clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable with the most lovely bedding. The accommodation was newly decorated and with the most up todate ensuite.Coffee / tea maker with treats provided. The coaching inn was so cosy and with a lovely restaurant with a good varied menu, we ate in the restaurant and the food and the service was excellent. Before we left we had a Sunday roast which was ample and excellent. Was made very welcome. Would definitely return.

Well I beg to differ with the review below. An absolutely gorgeous pub. When my other half said you can stay here, I started looking at dates immediately. The food was spectacular but my only criticism was the small mushroom portion…..fantastic array of drinks too. Best of all was the venue , the bar area reminded me of Ibiza ,the lounge more Torquay …..as for the background music…..fantastic as was the service.

Really lovely stay. Clean, comfortable and contemporary room which was modern and fresh. Quiet village location with some lovely walks for the dog. A super friendly welcome and lovely pub/bar on site too, what more could you ask for!? Would love to stay again.

Arrived, pub was locked and dark despite arriving at agreed time. Rang owner - after 10 mins they rang back and said side door was open to room. They said pub would be open later. Half an hour later I received a text saying pub was closed for evening, we would need to go to Oakham (8miles) for a meal/drink. The room and stairs/corridor had no fire exit information. De luxe room but it was small and kettle had to be balanced on floor as no other plug. No-one around in morning and no breakfast available. Room not serviced before second night.

Friendly welcome with prompt service. Food is excellent and well priced. I would recommend the roast dinner. Too full to eat a pudding but they looked fantastic. Dog friendly bar. Will definitely be visiting again. Too good to keep it a secret.
