I took my wife to The Retreat for her birthday last week and was highly impressed. I paid £40 per person for a 1 hour massage and cream tea which I thought was absolutely excellent value for money compared to some other places I have visited. The therapists were highly experienced and extremely personable and the venue itself was just stunning. It is a beautifully decorated, converted stable block surrounded by woodland. They do not have any water facilities, its more of a retreat for relaxation. I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be returning again soon.

I bought a massage gift voucher for my sister which she then chose to redeem at this retreat. What was supposed to be a lovely and relaxing day for her and her husband turned out to be a disappointment. The afternoon before their Saturday appointment the retreat called them up to cancel the booking but did not offer compensation for the last minute cancellation and could not rebook them until April 2018 which is quite ridiculous! I tried to call the manager to complain but was never able to reach her and the customer service was unhelpful and unaccomodating for a cancellation that was not my sister's fault. I'm rather disappointed with their customer service and if this is already the level of customer service they provide before the actual massage then they are far from providing a relaxing experience.

My daughter and I had an amazing spa package here today. The place is beautiful, the therapists wonderful and the hot stone massage was the best massage I've had. This was all rounded off with a lovely cream tea overlooking the countryside and as it was a celebration, they gave us a glass of bucks fizz each. Thankyou ladies, can't recommend you highly enough we will definitely be back.

I bought the rejuvenating reviver pamper package for myself and my mum and was not disappointed. 3 lovely treatments. My skin felt amazing and it was so relaxing followed by a cream tea and a glass of bubbly. In a very cute rustic setting! Perfect gift!

Arrived late and was greeted by a lovely Irish girl who made us feel relaxed immediately. The retreat is exactly that peaceful and in the middle of nowhere. Lovely afternoon with one of the best massages I have ever had. Can't wait to go back. Thank you so much for making us feel spoilt.

A mothers day gift from my Son.....An absolute shambles, I was phoned the day before to say there wasn't enough therapists to accommodate me and my daughter. So said i would go without a massage and have a pedicure. Get there the next day 5 mins early than told to be there, to be told they were running 20 mins late. Which was fine. But didn't get what we were promised. Time was cut short because of them being behind. And when i phoned to complain, i was told that what i said didn't happen. We didn't even get our cream teas. Was offered a mini facial and cream tea to compensate, i told them i wanted what my son had paid for, but was told no. So i wont be going there again, and i will deter anyone i can from going there.

Absolutely shocked that this place can even call itself a business. They only survive because of their affiliation with voucher companies. Like many other reviews on here: I travelled 2 hours for my spa day with husband to find a dark, freezing cold shack with no one there. We waited almost 30 minutes. To then get a phone call to say that the lady broke down on her way to work. It's almost laughable considering the previous reviews. Avoid Avoid Avoid.
