Stayed at The Reubens over the Easter weekend in an accessible room. To say the least, it was absolutely brilliant. Wasn't sure what it would be like, but ha nothing to worry about. From the moment we arrived on the Saturday until we left late Monday morning, we were looked after. All of the staff couldn't do enough for you and were happy to assist with anything. Room was really comfortable and ably met my needs. The food was brilliant and the size of portion Phenomenal. I would have no hesitation recommending The Reubens. Hopefully we'll be back🤞👍

We attended a group meal and cannot say anything good about it!
I had the "Garlic" Mushrooms to start and it can best be described as button mushrooms in a lot of sauce with no garlic. Needed a spoon to eat, urgh!
Main course of burger, overcooked and plastic cheese, why not serve a decent meaty burger? Pudding was chocolate mousse was ok, but how can you get this wrong? I think I was lucky in my choices as my other half had soup to start with the hardest bread (left in oven too long?) and then followed with Lasagne and chips. The lasagne was more of a soup than a pasta dish, only one layer of pasta and the tomato mince sauce was floating a sea of white sauce with a side of 2 pieces of burnt garlic bread, the chips arrived 5 mins after the lasagne. Totally disgusting. The majority of our group had ordered this and a high percentage were not eaten. One was sent back to the kitchen as was cold. Pudding was Syrup sponge and custard and can be described as dry sponge served in pool of luke warm custard, best described as a school dinner pudding, at least they were hot!
The meals had all been pre ordered so why have only 2 members of staff bringing 2 starters each from the kitchen, When it got to main courses we were down to one member of staff bringing one meal out at a time! Shocking service right through. Why the 3 members bar staff didn't help serve these meals to get them out who knows!!! Was it chefs night off or is their chef incapable of producing a decent meal?
When it came to paying before any complaint was made, we were given a £10 refund on all those that had had lasagne's, so even the staff serving the food could see how terrible it was.

We live near by and decided to have a look see what it was like, we've only live here 8 month lol when we went in the food area was empty so we were worried and wondered why as you would 😅 but the food was lovely so maybe everyone else had just ate.
The girl that was serving us was lovely, she was chatty and made sure our drinks were topped up 😊
Kids meals are great for the price but normal menu is a little pricey but then probably standard for a hotel and leeming. I would definitely say give it a try!
Bar area is separate which is always a good thing 😊

We had a lovely stay here whilst we visited The Polar Express experience as it is literally round the corner from the railway station. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! Our room was spacious and comfy, very modern and clean! We even dinner in the evening & breakfast and the food and service was great. Thank you very much! 🙂

Good place to stay, doors where a little finicky to open

Breakfast was standard fare, but it was good if Im ever back in the area would stay again

We used the motorhome park up facility here for overnight, a good quiet night, we had dinner in the pub, the food was fantastic as was the atmosphere and service, we will definitely use the Reubans again if they have space when we next go down the A1(m).

Immaculate hotel. Great food and drink. Brilliant atmosphere also. Rooms were basic but very clean. The beds were really comfy. We will be booking again.

With a beautiful and simple interior The Reubens is recommended for a good night out however it just falls short due to the price of the drinks which are slightly pricey. Recommended place for drinks in the local scene. Unfortunately the food was mediocre but not at all bad.
