On a business trip and booked this for a stopover after a good recommendation and was not disappointed. Very friendly staff who took time to show me the spacious room and an invite down for a drink at the bar. |The menu is varied and the slow cooked beef pie was excellent. The bar prices are reasonable and service is very friendly and efficient.|The bed was extremely comfortable and a modern shower was just the job in the morning ahead of a superb full Scottish breakfast served again by a very friendly staff member who was kind enough to keep me stocked up with free coffee as I took advantage of the WiFi to spend an hour or so in the bar catching up on emails.|Excellent stay over and well recommended.|Will return when next in the area.

We had such a lovely stay at the Rhu Inn! The rooms were comfortable and clean, the food is amazing and the staff are absolutely lovely. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted, even creating my favourite cocktail at the bar! Highly recommend and we will be back.

We popped in for drinks and food twice while staying at a local hotel. Made very welcome by staff and customers, who were very friendly. Also kind enough to provide a cool bowl of water for our dog. Will definitely visit again.

The most friendliest pub I’ve ever been in, as soon as we entered, patrons said hello and pointed us in the direction of where there were empty seats. |Staff were lovely, helped ourselves to some crisps with our drinks. Asked about a football game and the staff put it on for my partner to watch. |We had food there, I had fish n chips which was beautiful served on a bed of mushy peas. My partner had the crispy chicken burger, it was delicious. I would highly recommend this pub, such lovely lovely people, excellent service and excellent food!

Decided to take my dog on a 3 mile walk to the Rhu Inn as I hadn't visited it for years. The bar was full of character with nice original flooring, ships crests and interesting photographs. I had a nice pint of Joker IPA before walking home again. Made a nice change.

Fantastically flavoursome food here! Cracking restaurant with a great menu. I had the soup of the day, which was smoked tomato and lentil with sourdough bread.... Very tasty! The bruschetta was equally good. The Baja fish tacos were incredible. Oozing with amazing flavours, accompanied with fries. The steak pie looked amazing, and I had a wee taste... Beautifully tender meat! Will definitely be back here soon, and this place is thoroughly recommended!

Absolute hidden gem. Food is great, staff are lovely, and the ambience is a lovely mixture of comfortable and traditional local pubs.

Great for gluten-free coeliac as well which is surprising for a pub. Gf desert options could be improved is only suggested improvement.

We all enjoyed an overnight stay, the rooms were very comfortable and staff attentive. The Breakfast was good and included in price which was reasonable. Beautiful view out of the Superior room over to Rhu Bay. Would stay again.
