Nicely decorated and well set up rooms. We stayed in the family room and it was perfect for a few nights with 4 staying.
Breakfast is self service and plenty of options, would be nice to offer cappuccinos or lattes vs the standard filter coffee.
Varied menu in the bar with plenty of options for veggie, or light bites.
Location to Ripon centre is perfect, and nice having the gardens next door.

On arrival found a well-appointed room with a lovely bathroom and a massive bed! Staff were extremely friendly both on reception and bar - special mention for Justin who arranged an ice take away for us! The food......Arrived late on Friday but were nevertheless accommodated with our choice of fish and chips, beautifully cooked and generous portions. On Saturday I chose pasta, which was exactly as it should be, my other half chose grilled Bream. I was allowed to taste, and can confirm it was possibly the best Bream I have ever experienced. Will definitely book again.

Visited the pub for lunch after going to a Land Rover show. Food was very good, helpful and friendly staff. The pub is also dog friendly so our hounds were able to join us inside.

The hotel was in beautiful surroundings. The bedroom had everything we required. The beds were comfortable. The areas for dining and drinking were informal and friendly. The food in the evenings was excellent and staff were lovely. Beautiful decor throughout.

Stayed here for just 1 night to attend a wedding at Grantley Hall, very close if you're looking for somewhere nearby. Really enjoyed our stay. Every staff member we came across was friendly and helpful, had a lovely chat at breakfast time 🙂 We had our 14 month old with us and I'm always nervous about overnights, but the room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was fresh, modern and huge! We all really slept well and very much appreciated the desk fan that had been left in our room as it was a little warm. Breakfast was good with a decent selection and the staff worked hard to serve extra food when it ran out (I think it was a little busier than usual). Would recommend and would stay again. We also visited Fountains Abbey as part of our trip and I would highly recommend getting there if you're in the area.

8 of us booked in for a birthday celebration yesterday, it was our first visit and I don’t think we’ll be back. We thought that the food and service wouldn’t be an issue having had a great meal at the sister restaurant in Harrogate. Unfortunately however we were greatly disappointed. The food was terrible and you would receive better quality and therefore value for money at a Wetherspoons, at least you know what you’re getting. This was overpriced and nothing that hasn’t come out of a packet or been hastily chucked together. It also took an age which was definitely not due to the preparation time required. Starters came out at random times and one was forgotten about. The bar service was terrible and a struggle to get a drink when you did want one. You also had to pay for all up front due to fear of a walkout! Maybe make your service and food better and people will be happy to pay!

Visited for food. The place is gorgeous and the terrace is beautiful. However, let down by unfriendly bar staff and poor quality, over priced food. Young waiter serving was extremely polite and didn’t bother complaining about the food as more senior staff had no interest. Definitely won’t return for food as much nicer places in town.

3 of us dinned on 19/6/24, the food is not worth the money, the chips were dry and had been cooked and reheated. I had their special chicken burger that had been overheld and was dry and a little burnt. We were really looking forward to this but left a bit disappointed. The decor is lovely and I'm sure staying there is just as nice but the quality of the food needs improving.
