The Ripon Inn had a good ambiance with interesting and tasteful decor which looked freshly done . |Staff were friendly and trustworthy and went out of their way to recover a valuable item I left by accident. The room was spacious and clean with every accessory you could want and a great view of the impressive gardens! I thought I’d woken up in a stately home!! Pillows were soft and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty!! Would definitely recommend.

1st impressions by reception wasn't the best I was left standing there while 2 members of staff carried on talking the woman abruptly said it wasn't 3 o'clock so couldn't check in it was literally 2.56pm so I checked n myself on self checkout .wasn't told any directions on room or times on where breakfast was served .Had requested bath on booking and was emailed to say I had been appointed that but wasn't.The room was large and beautiful so my husband said we just leave it the windows seemed newly done but the draught of the wind was horrendous think it would be very bad in winter as bed is opposite it.Breakfast was what I expected been buffet style just cant be kept hot you have items warm some hot and some cold beans were a strange taste and area its served in small again staff could be more friendly and tell you that you can sit in other areas .My overal experience was hotel has been refurbished to a high class standard the decor is stunning and very tasteful location is perfect just the staff need a bit more customer service training but would return

Pleasantly located in impressive grounds. Clean rooms and good breakfast. Self service check in laborious. Staff helpful but few in number. Room (57) disappointing for price, the smallest in the hotel we were told. Car park small and very tight - 10-15 minute walk to nearest public car park.

Wonderful central location for exploring Ripon, easy parking, gorgeous hotel interior, fabulous room & excellent buffet breakfast. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a comfortable, clean, luxury stay away from home ?

Not good ! Travelled from Shrewsbury to visit family and called in for a drink... We ordered 3 x alcoholic beverages and 2 x cappuccinos. The cappuccinos took an age to be made (we had almost finished our drinks!) when they did come they were cold!
We asked for them to be remade only for these to take longer than the original 2 !!

No offer of discount, just an apology which could have been a bit more sincere rather than just sounding like a word!
Will not return!

The staff don’t care. Checkout poor, breakfast not set up at all. Apparently it is a pub so stops serving before 11pm. Actually called the ‘Ripon Inn’ ie it has rooms. Nice fit out, shame about the staff who clearly don’t care. Nobody on reception on checkout and staff sitting around not doing anything. Leadership is lacking….

Lovely venue, we visited for drinks and enjoyed a live music act while we were there.

The drinks were expensive but they have clearly spent a fortune on the place so I don't mind supporting the business while enjoying such a well presented place.
