I chose The Roods B&B because of its proximity to the Inverkeithing train station because we were visiting Edinburgh. What a delightful B&B! Isobel is a friendly, attentive, helpful host and welcomed us very warmly like an old friend. The breakfast was gorgeous and our room had everything we needed. The en-suite bathroom was roomy and clean with plenty of towels etc. I wish we could have stayed longer. This has been a highlight of our Scottish holiday and I highly recommend it.

Clean and comfortable room with a spacious bathroom. The location couldn't be better - just a short walk to the train station and 15 minutes by train to Edinburgh.The hosts Isobel and Patrick are lovely and accommodating. You feel welcome and right at home. Breakfasts were very good, too. It was nice to enjoy the Fringe Festival and return to a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood to rest and recharge.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights in a twin room at this delightful B&B. Our host was lovely, attentive, helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful fresh breakfast. Literally 2 minutes walk to the train station, perfect for travelling the short trip to Edinburgh for the day. I would have loved to have stayed at The Roods B&B longer and I would definitely stay again because this has been a highlight of our Scottish holiday.

On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Isobel and Patrick. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also very nice. Tea and coffee making kit was well appreciated after a long drive. The bed was more comfortable than my own at home! The breakfast choice was vast and my choice, porridge followed by scrambled egg with smoked salmon, was really nice. ||Isobel and Patrick's local knowledge was a great help. Directions and eating out advice was really helpful. In a nutshell, a really nice place to stay and highly recommended. Thanks again Isobel and Patrick.

I booked this B&B for my mum and Auntie for 3 nights stay, I couldn't of picked a better place the warm and friend welcome we reviewed was so comforting Isobel and Patrick are outstanding Hosts. nothing was too much they go out of their way to ensure you have anything you need for your stay.||||The breakfast was amazing 13 different fruits in my fruit salad and the cooked breakfast was delicious.||||||The bedroom was spotlessly clean and the treat tray was a lovely welcome touch!! |||| we would highly recommended this B&B the ground are beautiful and very well maintained my family are looking forward to staying with Isobel and Patrick again.||||||We would like to thank Isobel and Patrick for the hospitality we have had friends for life.||||look forwarded to seeing you very soon.

If ever you want to stay in Edinburgh without the cost or the haste this BnB is perfect. A 2 minute walk to the train station and a 15 minute train ride and you're in the centre of Edinburgh..||||More importantly I cannot recommend this BnB highly enough. Had the most perfect room. The host and her daughter were the friendliest and most easy going people. There was nothing that was too difficult for them. Breakfast was A1||||Many thanks

Isobel and Patrick are perfect hosts in the perfect B&B. I had a spacious, clean and thoughtfully equipped room, with anything and everything I could want, and small hospitable touches like fruit and chocolates. ||Breakfast is a homemade feast with choice and quality aplenty. I could not have asked better. ||Thank you. A wonderful stay.

Stayed the 1 night with my mother in a twin room. Bedroom superb with all the facilities expected. Breakfast the next day was 1st class and would definitiely be back and highly recommend the Roods. Lovely couple Isabel & Patrick who run the establishment too.||Many thanks again from John, Richard & Marion
