My self and my adult children had a great time today. We loved how many deals there were. In entering the pub a lovely lady greeted us .I have to say the food was absolutely lovely.

I had a roast and I ate every last bit. I can't fault the roast dinner in anyway

My children had fish n chips and they loved their meal. I tried the chips they were lovely fluffy home made .

The service was fast and the staff truly lovely and funny too.

I love my roasts and I give it a 10 out of 10 for taste and guess what mash potatoes lovers. There mash is creamy.. delicious! And the roasts and Yorkshire puddings were were crunchy and fluffy.

The price came to 50 pounds for three people. Three dinners. Deserts and whine.
I loved it. One happy customer who will definitely go again with her family.
Well done to the staff!!

Visited yesterday whilst staying local for a wedding and I can say the food here is amazing! The carvery is better than a Toby and all the food is of high standard and homemade. Huge meals 6 of us ate for £40! Great 2 for 1 and kids eat for free. Best food we have had in a very long time and the manger was a really lovely gentleman can’t do enough to help. Also they had lots of gluten free options and loads of gluten free puddings which was great for me having celiac disease.

Dined 18/08/24, was greeted by Derek when we walked in as if he'd known us 20 years, felt very comfortable and welcome immediately, the restaurant is spotless and very well laid out, we had the carvery, which I must say was very tasty, all fresh vegetables, and very reasonably priced. Only problem,, the food needs to be kept warmer, by the time we were half way through eating, it had gone really cold. But all in all we had a nice few hours there and would recommend it ?

Arranged a birthday party for approx.70 people which was brilliant! The buffet was good and all our guests really enjoyed thei. Nohing was too much trouble for Stacey and her 'team' - they helped with the decorations and set-up beforehand, served us all evening & were still smiling as they waved us off at the end of the night.

Went to a wedding here. Main course was the carvery which was excellent. Evening buffet was plentiful and full of variety. Service and bar staff very good. Made a good venue. The main room was beautifully decorated.

3 adults and a child went today for lunch to the Royal Oak. The food, a carvery, was nice, but only warm. The adults had virtually finished their food and the childs portion, still hadn't arrived. We chased it up, and it seems it was overlooked. The only serving staff, George, went above and beyond, however he was so busy, (as was John in the bar area) booking customers in, taking orders, serving on the carvery, serving the drinks, clearing the tables. The poor lad was rushed of his feet. He was so polite, helpful and couldn't apologise enough for our wait. I hope the management see him for his true value. He is a credit to the pub/restaurant. Only 2 staff to cover bar and restaurant. Not good in a busy eating/drinking establishment. The only reason I have given 4 stars is because of the fantastic service received from George.
