A very lovely stay! I came with my husband and we stayed here so we could explore Windsor and spend a day at Ascot Racing. Great location for doing both of these things. The room was immaculate and very spacious. Lots of space to unpack and toiletries were provided too in respect of shower gel, shampoo, soap etc. Towels were also provided. Car parking space was available for a small charge as was car was locked safely away behind a gate which was reassuring. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Very pleasant place. We had the upstairs room which was well furnished and comfortable. Not a clue about breakfast as it’s only served at 8.30am which is far too early for us. No criticism of the B and B, we’re just too lazy to get up at that time. The staff were all helpful and friendly. We would stay here again

Second stay at the Rutlands. Just as I remembered it- immaculately clean, tidy and fresh room. Good quality toiletries supplied, tea and coffee making facilities. A specially arranged early check-in, and a friendly greeting. Good to chat with Eileen again whilst taking breakfast. Safe, secure parking at a reasonable rate. Good service- a few places could take a lesson or two from the Rutlands; definitely recommended! Thank you for another good stay. 🙂

We stayed just one night and everything was perfect, from the warm welcome on our arrival to the time we left. The b&b is spotlessly clean, nothing is shabby or worn, the owners friendly and welcoming. Lovely bedding in the rooms, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! The bathroom was spotless, with big fluffy white towels and quality toiletries. The breakfast was great, set us up for the day. There is also secure parking at the property for £10/night which is well worth it as parking is otherwise difficult to get close by. The b&b is also central and it's an easy walk into the town or up to the castle. A great place to stay, we can absolutely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at The Rutlands- Ozzy met us at the door was very friendly & showed us where to park, some may say £10 per night is a little steep but there really is no where else to park & if there was I’m sure it would cost more than that. Our room was no5 at the top of the house very clean , lovely soft towels with tea/coffee making facilities & a small fridge, you can just about see part of the castle if you poke your head out of the velux window. Breakfast was superb , choice of full breakfast or salmon & eggs, toast, cereals ,coffee, tea, fruit juice etc. also a nice touch of fruit with yoghurt. Eileen does the cooking, with serving help from Seyit, they were both very friendly & chatty, Eileen suggested places to eat, one of them being the Turkish which was just further down the rd. I suggest you book tho as extremely busy & we were lucky that they fitted us in. We really had a pleasant stay here & would recommend it , we will be re-visiting in the future.

Easy short walk to Windsor town and castle.
The bed was uncomfortable, very very very soft. We literally melted into it. I woke up with pins and needles running down my arm. The sheets did not feel fresh and the duvet was a polyester cover, not nice at all.

Very disappointed. Firstly, I don’t know where the four and a half stars come from, it’s certainly not from the AA or any other formal body as there was no plaque on display. We arrived after 5pm after a long day travelling. The gentleman who ‘welcomed’ us didn’t even bother to introduce himself. He said he was surprised to see two of us as the booking was for one adult only. But I had booked a double room and there was never any mention of single occupancy. So folks, double check your booking as we had to pay an additional £60 immediately on top of the £220 we had already paid. Then the man (I still don’t know his name) wanted to know what we wanted for breakfast the next morning - we were still barely over the door. Who knows what they want for breakfast the day before? We were then shown to our room which was up a very steep staircase and the room itself was quite tired and in need to some redecoration. The last breakfast of the day was served at 8.30am and it was absolutely awful. It was a standard sausage, bacon, egg breakfast that looked like it had been cooked the night before, it was so dry. The only good thing about this b&b is the large, fluffy white towels they provide and the central location. I would not recommend it.

Nice welcome from husband but owner where to be seen! |Room at very top house. Extremely clean and bathroom towels etc lovely. BED - purple bed linen which was not cotton and not overly nice to sleep under.|View of castle - mm if you stick your head of of roof light and stretch but nice short walk to castle so fine.|Breakfast good, nice touch cut fruit. |
