My wife and I stayed last Sunday night and had a brilliant time. The hotel is beautiful and has gorgeous views from the bar and restaurant/ breakfast room. Our room did not have a view but was very luxurious and spacious and beautifully decorated - as is the rest of the hotel. I tried the flotation tank which was something I've always wanted to do and was a great experience. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was superb - the nicest rack of lamb I've ever had. Our waitress for the evening was Farrah who was an absolute delight, very courteous and polite but very friendly and engaging at the same time so she definitely deserves a special mention. Overall I cannot fault our visit and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to go away for a special occasion to treat themselves. ||Peter Forbes

Fabulous, effortless / staff were brilliant. ||Took a punt on Expedia and found a gem. Brilliant location, views - check-in a breeze. Restaurant staff knowledgeable and attentive. Rooms large and immaculate. Wished we had stayed for longer - the big name hotel we stayed at the next night needs to take a lesson from their book. We will come back without a doubt.

We had a lovely one night stay in this beautiful hotel. The location and views are stunning. We arrived and had a really nice lunch in the Lookout with its breathtaking views of the Torr Head peninsula. We then spent the afternoon in the thermal suite, even the rainy weather didn’t take away from the views in the Hottub. The SPA is being extended so can’t wait to come back when it’s finished. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant but make sure you book as it’s popular with locals as well as hotel guests. We spent the evening in the hotel bar which had live music on and such a buzz about. The service was first class we were made feel so welcome from checking in and nothing was too much trouble. It was a perfect spot for a relaxing night away. The hotel has lodges so I would definitely return next time with the kids and stay longer than one night.

We spent 4 nights at The Salthouse and had a great stay!||First, the staff were amazing and super helpful anytime we needed something. All very friendly. We ate at both restaraunts and found the food and drinks to be very good. ||Our room was large and clean. The only small issue is that most rooms lack a view. However, the restaraunts overlook beautiful views.||There is consruction happening but it did not affect our stay. I hear they are expanding the spa and adding a swimming pool. ||All in all a great stay and highly recommend,

Great location with wonderful staff. Dinner was very good with excellent waiter and spectacular views from the table. Construction was on going outside but did not take away from the beauty of the resort. Only drawback that we had was the room was quite “stuffy”, on the south side of the building and was very warm at night. Bartender was able to alert the night porter and we were able to secure a fan for the room which definitely helped. Wish we were able to stay longer and enjoy more of the amenities available to guests.

My husband surprised me by booking a Romantic getaway package at the Salthouse for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in a suite which was absolutely gorgeous 😍 All staff were friendly and courteous. Views from restaurant were stunning and loved breakfast being table service. Would like to return when spa is completed 😊

We had good expectations of staying at The Salthouse. It was ok without being blown away really.|The room was nice enough a good bathroom (kitted out with Shower gel, shampoo etc). There was a small tea and coffee facility which included some complimentary biscuits, but for a hotel aiming at upper end of the market, serving Nescafé sachets is a very poor choice (in fact it's awful). Most establishments will have coffee pod machines now.|The bar and restaurant area was nice with food views across the coast. We both opted for the steaks, which nicely seasoned but that's about it, not great steaks. The bar did offer a flight of wine, a choice of 3 100ml glasses from a list 8 (plus a port),a really good idea and each wine had was very nice.|Didn't opt to use the Spa was it being rebuilt and a temporary spa is in operation.|Breakfast was odd as well.|It was set out like an afternoon tea rather than a continental buffet. 4 small shot glasses of greek yoghurt, 4 small pastries. You have order any toast separately. Personally, I like Muesli or Granola to start my breakfast and strangely there was no option for that.|There was a reasonable selection of to order hot food but again the menu didn't detail what was in the fry.|On the real side, all the staff were really friendly.|On the whole, if The Salthouse are trying to place themselves at the higher end of the market, they need to up their game on some things.
