Nice friendly pub .enjoyed my pints .
Don't serve ginger ale or j2o orange for the wife .( driving she was ).so we ordered a small bottle of orange with ice.

Nice old pub with lots of charm. Great selection of beers at reasonable prices. Something that can't be said about their own range of spirits. They work out very expensive as unlike other pub chains they don't have offers on. Note that every lady in the busy pub was drinking pints.
Was taken aback by the servers were both drinking pints on the job. One sat down making roll ups

Large, traditional pub with a separate lounge/bar area and a cavernous games room. It's a Sam Smith's house, so you know what to expect: decent beer, low prices, no music, and slightly draconian 'rules' (no phones, no swearing, etc.). Either way, it's a friendly place - staff and regulars alike - and well worth popping in.

Absolutely shocking, there is a phone ban in the pub,. It was Saturday night and dead. About 10 people in the Saxon at most. This pub use to be thriving pub years ago now. But samuel Smith are running this pub into the ground,especially now they have banned mobile phones ban, notices on each table about what you can and cant do. Next if will be no talking.

What can I say....I've been drinking in this pub 20 years. It's part of my life. When I was in the army and been away for 6 months I'd come back and sink a cold one in here. The best ...... so many memories 😁😁😁

Been in a few times over the past couple of months really friendly staff and friendly atmosphere of you like to have a drink and a chat without seeing everyone on there phones this is the place to go lol.
