What a perfect stay at The School House in Chapel Lawn. If you like 'remote with added benefits' this is the place for you. The location is beautiful with opportunities for walking and wider exploring, the room included comforting home pleasures and the unexpected delight of fresh home baking (gluten free - always much appreciated) in place of commercial biscuits to have with a cup of high quality tea and coffee, and the breakfast, again, lovingly given, plenty of it and home made.
This is definitely a place that makes you feel valued and cared for. Thank you to Clare and David for that warm welcome and friendly environment.
If we have the opportunity to come back to South Shropshire The Old School House will be where we head to, next time with our four-legged family member ... yes, you can even bring your dog! Bliss.

Fabulous stay at The School House, and Dave and Claire were the perfect hosts. We had the huge downstairs “dog friendly “ room, with direct access to the fenced garden.Spotlessly clean, and everything you could possibly need for your stay, plus some lovely extras - like delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake, jelly babies and bottled filter water, and of course a tray to make tea and coffee.|Plenty of lovely walks direct from the house, and Dave has great suggestions ( and maps) to help you plan your day. Claire provided the most wonderful breakfasts, with homemade granola and bread and a good range of cooked options. |We hope to return again to this fabulous B&B!!!|Thank you Dave and Claire.

We stayed at The School House B&B for two nights. If you are looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surrounding, this is the place for you. Our hosts, Claire and Dave gave us a warm welcome. We stayed in The Brineddin Suite with its own cosy sitting room. We enjoyed the Bedroom Picnic provided by Claire and of course the home made Lemon Drizzle Cake. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of home cooked goodies, including the bread and marmalade. Everything provided here has been carefully thought about. The rooms were spotless and the bed was so comfy. Claire and Dave should be congratulated on achieving such a perfect B&B. We would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely guest house with thoughtful extras provided. Excellent tea tray, home made lemon drizzle cake, fresh milk and bottled water provided in the mini fridge. Packets of tissues provided in the hall, along with a tray to accommodate muddy walking shoes! An emergency supply of toiletries if you have forgotten anything. Large fluffy towels in the bathroom, which had a fabulous large shower. Crisp bed linen, comfy bed and lovely comfy pillows. Fabulous views from the window. The breakfast was first class - home made bread and damson jam - delicious! Plus locally sourced breakfast ingredients. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the local area - don't bother with a guide book! They have a map room though if you need to look anything up! We went to chill out and we certainly did! The only thing missing for us, was the dressing gowns which are included in the itinerary list, (unless we missed them!) but that was a very small omission. We are looking forward to returning when circumstances permit.

It can be difficult to know whether somewhere really lives up to its ratings, but we can't recommend The School House highly enough. We aren't generally the kind of people who often revisit places they've been before, but we've stayed here three times since 2020 because it's so good, and every time has been delightful. It's set in a wonderful location, Clare and Dave are incredibly welcoming with great ideas on where to visit locally, the catering options (breakfast, bedroom picnics, as well as treats in the rooms) are consistently delicious, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It really does very much deserve the 5 stars.

First of all I would like to thank the hosts Clare and Dave for a really wonderful stay here. They were friendly, accommodating and very efficient. The B&B is set in beautiful surroundings and The School house had a very relaxing feel to it the moment you walked in. The room I stayed in which was the Bryneddin Suite had a private lounge to go with i9t and had all the amenities you could want. The bedroom itself was both roomy and comfortable and has wonderful views over to the hills.

Perfect, clean and as welcoming as before (wonderful lemon drizzle cake and jelly babies to go with our selection of hot drinks) with excellent local knowledge, a dedicated map room and fantastic breakfasts, with locally sourced ingredients! Very peaceful. Happy to go again!

The School House is a wonderful, exceptional B&B in a beautiful, peaceful location with lovely views. The breakfasts are amazing, tasty lemon drizzle cake and fresh milk welcome you in your room. Comfy big bed and lovely decor. Fantastic place to stay and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts.
