Wow! I don't really know where to start. Nobody to greet you, just given a text with a room number and codes to get in. The room was very basic and the tv didn't work. The only positive was the bed comfy. If I was staying here on my own I didn't feel that safe. We even left early the next morning.

Wow! what a place. We thought the south side must be due for demolition but were amazed to see clientelle entering the open doorway with cases in hand. So it was a relief to find out we were booked in the north side. We entered via the doorless side entrance. the entry code worked! Reception closed so we made our way to room 15 via the stale smelling hallway. Entry code worked again! Oh! dear, rain pouring through the ceiling. Kettle, microwave & fridge but no cups and absolutely nothing to make a drink with. Ensuite looked grim. No plugs & smelly plug holes. Toilet was ok but we avoided the seat. 3 toilet rolls supplied!!! Shabby / grubby room interior. Bonus! - duvet only stained on the underside. Lovely view - made extra special by the scaffolding directly outside our windows. Looks like someone tried to escape through one of the windows as it looks to been kicked in having been sealed off . What a shame! For the sake of a few quid this place could be so different - and they could charge a lot more. No staff present whatsoever. No phones answered at all. Luckily, no bar or restaurant to be be seen! Getting a refund looks impossible judging by other reviews. Back home one day and went down with a bad eye infection - more than likely down to dirty bed linen! Lesson learned however - next time I need to read reviews rather than just something near the sea!

Avoid this place. Filthy dirty. Should be closed down. We were shown to a room that someone was already in. Shown to another room, the bed had a large lump on one side of it and the sheet had a large yellow stain on it. The carpet was filthy, the bathroom light didn't work. We moved to another hotel and when we went back to fetch our belongings from the majestic, the room must have been 110 degrees| My husband said he did not feel safe in the place. There was no way we were staying there.

I’ve stayed in some dumps but this is one of the best. Manky bloody hole. Dirty, wallpaper peeling, no soap, one coffee, one Tea bag, nobody around, skirting, walls, ceiling, holes everywhere, all decrepit and looking ancient. No plug in bathroom. Piss poor. Bed was cramped into a corner between two built in wardrobes. Ok it was cheap and only for one night and you get what you pay for. Dont go near the joint. Absolute crap.

The location of the hotel was great, however isn’t as advertised, it is very worn out, the bed was comfortable however seemed very grimy so we bought blankets and different pillows. No disrespect, our carpet was soaking wet unsure as to why but did not dry whilst we stayed, still don’t know what it was. Cigarette butts in the stairs as you go up to the room.

Not welcoming. Reception looks like a hostel. Dirty smelly. There is no breakfast facility it’s all a lie. No shower gel provided. Bedroom smelt. Mould on the bedroom walls. Wouldn’t even pay £30 to stay there a night. Terrible absolutely horrible

This hotel has had some poor reviews but you can only take as you find. This is what I found:-|On arrival yes, it looks shabby from the outside.|It is an old building and yes it does need a makeover.|The rooms are old and unkept.|BUT….you get what you pay for. It is incredibly cheap. It is what it is.|THE BEDLINEN WAS CLEAN. THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAN AND I HAD A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP. That is all I ask for the money.|We struggled to access our rooms but there was help. |Don’t expect The Ritz, it’s just a room to put your head down.

Stayed here for 1 night as had to as most places were booked. I knew it would be basic as only paid a low amount. The room was dirty with stained ceilings. The TV doesn’t work and the Bathroom was terrible with water coming out of the shower at the wall and very little coming out of the shower head. The Bathroom had rust on the pipes and the walls and skirting boards where awful
