Fabulous location and no problem parking. My husband , daughter and myself booked into this hotel for a three night stay at a cost of ÂŖ960.75 for two "premier rooms" Our room had a seating area in the bay window with a fabulous view. Our daughter had the same view but no bay window so just the view out of an ordinary window. The rooms were adequate but unfortunately both rooms were missed by housekeeping on the second day despite being on different floors! The duvets were pulled up the bed and that was it. Dirty pots and milk jug were left. No bins were emptied no hospitality trays were restocked and no loo rolls topped up. On telling reception we were told it would be reported the following morning. We discussed this again at checkout to be told it would be reported. We felt the service was inadequate given the cost. Breakfasts were average at best. Undercooked bacon and| mushrooms however the waiter was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. Maybe housekeeping should take a leaf out of his book.

This is a wonderful place. Our room was spotlessly clean, small but had all we needed for 2 people. We had a wonderful sea view. The binoculars provided were a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was small, including a shorter than average bath and low shower. This was fine for us, not being tall but may be an issue for someone taller. This was because of the sloping ceiling in our attic room so other rooms most likely don't have this issue.Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice of both cooked and continental. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very well situated, a short walk from the town.

Everything about our stay was super. The room was spotless, lovely and comfortable, with amazing sea views. Even binoculars were supplied! Breakfast was superb, and all the staff were very friendly, helpful, accommodating and efficient. It is a lovely walk from the hotel into the town. Next time we visit Whitby, this is where we'll stay without a doubt.||(Just one little thing. On the website it does state that kippers are available for breakfast whereas they have, in fact, stopped doing them. This didn't detract from our experience, though - just a little pointer)
