I recently stayed at the Cambridge Belfry Spa and Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the location was decent, there were numerous issues that severely impacted my stay.

To start with, the room had several maintenance problems. The heated hand towel rail was not working, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the fridge in the room was non-functional, and despite mentioning this to reception, no compensation or room upgrade was offered. The small makeup mirror in the bathroom had a broken light, making it nearly impossible to use.

Breakfast at the hotel was another disappointment. I found hair in my food, which is completely unacceptable. Moreover, the coffee machine produced the worst coffee I’ve ever had, which was particularly disappointing for a morning boost.

Lastly, the room lacked air conditioning, making it quite uncomfortable. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel in the summer months.

Overall, the few positive aspects did not outweigh the numerous negative experiences. I cannot recommend the Cambridge Belfry Spa and Hotel based on my recent stay.

I had a great overall experience after spending my birthday here however, there were a couple of areas that could be improved:

1) Upon arrival at the spa, the receptionist did not offer or inquire whether I needed a bathrobe or towel. This was my first spa experience, so guidance on such amenities would have been appreciated.

2) I encountered difficulty with room service as my calls went unanswered despite numerous attempts. Eventually, I visited the bar instead and found it surprisingly quiet, with staff appearing unoccupied.

These points detracted from an otherwise excellent visit.

Kudos to Laura, my therapist, who was so lovely. I felt AMAZING after the treatment. 🫧🧖‍♀️

Stayed here at the weekend. Booked a spa break for my friends birthday. The room was nice and clean. But we wasn't made aware upom booking that the leisure facilities were open to the public and not just the hotel guests. And that they have kids swimming lessons running during busy times in the day (230pm til 630pm friday and 8am til 1030am Saturday if i remember correctly) check in a 3pm until 11am. We wasn't able to use the pool, jacuzzi, sauna or steam room as it was just too busy and was no space. We tried to use to relaxation room but other people were using it as a place to catch up and talk loudly. It wasnt the relaxing spa break they advertised it as. The lady doing my spa treatment was amazing though. Just a shame about the rest.

We went here for a weekend stay.

The treatments were great at the spa, and they have some wonderful facilities: hot tub, indoor pool, steam room and sauna. It did not have that relaxing element as they do have swimming lessons for children going on and it appears to be a great place for families.

The rooms have very thin walls, we could hear the guest next door snoring. But they are spacious and clean.

The service in the restaurant and the food was ok.

Don’t usually leave reviews however I’ve seen loads of bad reviews before we came and think the place deserves good reviews! Hotel, spa and food was all lovely. Spa treatments were amazing too. Clean and tidy venue and a relaxing outdoor setting too.

Great!! This was an unplanned trip really, due to our bathroom being out of commission, but we are very happy with our experience. Good price on the room, the food is a reasonable price. we were very surprised (after experiences elsewhere of a similar Calabar) at the portion size and the quality, very good.
Plus it's dog friendly!!!! Amazing and they didn't bump up the price for the privilege either.
We would highly recommend a visit here.

Spa treatment was under the time allotted and room was cold. The spa itself wasn't in the best condition and clearly was more of a community pool than advertised on the site. The lunch was great, but staff stressed and told us they were understaffed. It was fair for the price all in, but disappointing overall. Next time I'll pay a little more for somewhere else.

A tired and shabby spa. Food and restaurant service was good. Massage was ok, but the room was cold and the masseuse lacked communication skills, so I didn't have a clue what was going on.
