This is a really lovely spa which wonderful treatments. We got a lovely day package and it was amazing value.
The treatments were so lovely and the staff in general just so helpful.
My biggest disappointment was that there were only 4 chairs around the pool to sit on, so if you just wanted to chill out for a moment between steam room and sauna etc you couldn't really. Not a huge deal but definitely made it a little awkward. We ended up standing in the pool just to chat as there was really no where else to sit and chill unless you were in the steam room or sauna.
Afternoon tea was fabulous! A good amount of good and good service. However, the glasses and mugs were dirty when they came out, we had to ask for clean ones...
All in all, great value for money. But some little niggles

My husband and I stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic stay.
I booked the spa break through a third party website however I later found the same offer on the Marriott website.
We stayed on a Sunday evening and the hotel was very quiet. The staff were attentive and the room was beautiful. The only let down was a view of the roof and maintenance rooms. The bed, however, was very comfortable with a very clean and well stocked en suite, with both a shower and a bath.
The spa was fantastic, a pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. My husband and I both had a massage which were tailored to our needs. A very relaxing experience which I would highly recommend.
The restaurant was quiet in the evening but had enough people for a good atmosphere. Service was quick and the meals delicious.
In the morning, the breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful gentleman serving and making people feel so welcome and comfortable.
A lovely experience and we would definitely go back again.

We visited on Friday. The jacuzzi is broken and has been for about 6 weeks. The steam room, sauna and pool area is quite small. There is only 3 lounges around the pool and if they are taken you will need to sit in a chair which is not relaxing. I had the massage which was good but my friend had the facial which she said was OK. Felt sorry for the beauticians who obviously have to promote products. We came for a relaxing day not the hard sell. The lunch was basic we had the fish finger wrap lots of breadcrumbs not much fish lol. The prosseco was flat. All the staff were lovely. My advice is save your money go to a local leisure centre which has a health suite and have a nice meal somewhere.

Comfortable hotel with a handy pool, steam room and sauna that guests can use. Well equipped gym too.

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by an unshaven receptionist who appeared as though he had been on the tiles all night. The event room was not prepared as promised at the time of booking the room and the host was forced with other family members to go out and purchase the necessary decorations and lay out as required. The bar in the event room had no brandy, no offer to get some from the main bar was made and the cokes was poured out of a jug and virtually flat. The finger buffet was well presented but the quality of the sarnys was appalling, the filling was so sparse it was hard to tell what flavour they were. That ensured we eat out that evening. In the lounge area of the main bar there were empty tables littered with dirty glasses, and one with left over food on it and I watched several members of staff walk by them and do nothing. The pillows in the bedroom were of the poorest quality possible and only 2 towels in the bathroom.
All in all a very disappointing stay at an extremely overpriced hotel. I would have had a better experiences in a premier inn.
Needless to say we won’t be returning there.

Stayed overnight and what an experience. The receptionist was friendly and as we checked in we went straight to the spa as we had an appointment. For dinner we went to the restaurant and was told that we had to book and they were full at 6pm which was untrue as for time time we sat outside there were less than 10 persons who dined there. The chicken tikka from the lounge was absolutely horrible and flavourless, the rice was stodgy and the tortillas tasted burnt. Overall the entire meal was honestly a waste, my mom got the fish fillet and it was a bowl full of gnocchi and a slither of fish fillet. Then the lounge wanted us to pay for the meal as the receptionist did not add the credit for dinner to our room which I had to go to sort out. To top it off we were awaken at 1am by the constant flushing of toilets and the busy traffic outside. Honestly the worst stay I have ever had. Plus side the spa and breakfast were great

Well, I think this spa could do with some love, as it's what you would call I little rundown. Changing room not clean and could do with sprucing up. The main pool area requires the same. We went for spa day and have to say not the best of spa's we have been to. Food with the package was OK, and that's being kind. But the one thing that we both enjoyed was the treatments
They were spot on. Don't think we shall ever return
Sorry, but this is our opinion
Thanks M&J

Came here (29/4/24) with my friend Wendy, to celebrate her 70th birthday. Paid for a Spa Package, with a light lunch, and "Back to Business" Elemis spa massage. We went in the jacuzzi first, then I went in the pool. They also have a Turkish steam bath , and a dry Swedish sauna, next to the pool. It was wonderful to spend some time with my lovely friend. The lunch was adequate, and filling, staff were attentive, at all times. We loved the massages that we had, we both slept very well that night. I feel "energised" today. May very well go back here for a massage. The hotel also has capacity for 500 people in their conference and banqueting suite. There is plenty of space in the foyer, with a lovely bar, and an outside courtyard, where you can smoke, it has outside heaters , and parasols, and chairs, etc.....

Go up
