From the moment we walked in, to the second we left, we thought this place and the staff were outstanding!!

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the place itself is absolutely stunning!

We stayed for 1 night, our room was lovely, everything we needed and more was in there. Very clean, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, could not find a fault!!

We had our evening meal in the restaurant, the food was lovely, and plenty of too!! We also bought a bottle of wine to share, that was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Lovely relaxed, chilled atmosphere in the restaurant.

I'd like to give a special mention to the man who looked after us for the evening REECE, what a star he was!! Had us both laughing and he was very attentive and sweet! We are still talking about him now. Thank you reece, you made our stay even more unforgettable!

Breakfast the next morning was outstanding!! Everything you could think of was there! We had a mixture of everything (of course you have to) could not fault it!

Overall, our stay was amazing!! Couldn't of been better. Definitely a place we will visit often (we have rebooked again for this Friday, really hoping reece is there again)

Oulton Hall, you'll always have a special place in our hearts now. Who knows, we might even get married here! (Hint)

I was very apprehensive about my trip to Oulton Hall today due to the reviews. Just wanted to say I had the complete opposite experience.

Bit of a maze to find inside but once there, the reception staff were lovely and friendly, guided me to the spa area.

The pool wasn’t busy, the hot tub was hot and working. Yes there was a group on during the morning but I got there earlier so managed to still enjoy some quiet time in the pool.

Treatments all great, lovely staff! In on time and did not rush you following treatment.

I upgraded to afternoon tea as I didn’t fancy salad. Afternoon tea was lovely, got a pot of tea and my glass of Prosecco. Waiting staff were very attentive and friendly.

All in all, great relaxing time! I will be returning. Don’t believe all the negative reviews.

I had a really disappointing visit to this spa. I got a free pass to try, so I can decide on a membership. On arrival the receptionist was rude. She made clear that the free pass is not for a day but just for one hour. They wouldn’t even let me try anything without committing to a membership, which felt pushy and unwelcoming. Thought the idea behind trying the facilities is to gain new customers. However, the service was very poor and they put my mood down from the beginning. The pool was tiny and packed with people, so it was far from relaxing. I expected a lot more from this place. I understand that it was a weekend, and on a weekday would be probably better. For the price they charge, I expected much better facilities and service. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

We only visited as hotel guests but would be super disappointed visiting for a spa day given the price and amenities provided.

The pool area is really cramped, chairs line three sides of the pool which make walking round very difficult. No enjoyable poolside lounging to be had unfortunately. Also the limited space and size of the hotel means it's incredibly busy & when we arrived shortly after check in we were told the pool was at capacity and we'd have to wait, but couldn't be told for how long. Never had that at a spa hotel and we have stayed in many. No robes in the hotel room.
Just not impressed sadly.

I went for a birthday spa day. We really enjoyed it. The 2 treatments I had were lovely and ended up feeling very relaxed. My only comment would be that one of the receptionists was not very welcoming and was quite direct when I spoke to her, but the rest of the staff were lovely. We went to the restaurant too for afternoon tea. And I must say no one could do more for us in the restaurant. The food was lovely.

Came for the spa day today. The pool was cold and not warm. The afternoon tea was not very great not enough for the price. Staff was nice for massage other staff members had faces like thunders, too expensive for £89 for what. It was relaxing but not worth the money

Mixed thoughts.
Positives: The treatments were fantastic cannot fault.
Negatives:
Booked a package which included the lunch, we paid extra for afternoon tea. We had to ask for the tea having received the rest of the sandwiches and cakes. Service not so great.
The facilties very poor, went midweek and it was not relaxing near the pool or surrounding. Too many people. The jacuzzi couldn't get into as too full.
Navigating around the hotel - I have never been to Oulton Hall, it was difficult to find the spa, limited signage.
Overall not the greatest of experiences and not really worth the money. Therefore, personally I won't be returning. I prefer a more relaxed environment. It is more like a club than spa. Nothing relaxing about the place.
