I had been gifted a trio spa experience by my husband for Christmas and got around to using the voucher today.

Started off a 60 minutes hydro therapy experience, then a back massage, facial and foot massage.

My therapist Julie was lovely, made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I'm not a massive talker when I'm at the spa and it was great to just be able to relax and feel comfortable, safe and cosy with julie.

The back massage was sensational and one of the best I have Had in the merchant this far. Facial was excellent as always and the finish off foot massage was just the perfect ending to the experience.

It's safe to say I am feeling very relaxed and stress free after my spa experience today.

I love the merchant spa and cannot recommend it enough.
Thank you Julie 🥂

Had a stress massage today that my mother gifted me a £100 voucher for. The massage itself was relaxing and lovely. Prior the massage I enjoyed the hydrotherapy which I paid £20 for. After the massage the young therapist told me she would be back to take me to the relaxation room. I waited awhile outside the treatment room but then went into the ladies had to use the bathroom. I came back out and she was no where to be seen so I went on with my day. I was surprised that I wasn't offered a drink or given a menu as it being a five star hotel you'd expect to be able to purchase a coffee or cocktail. I was shocked that I had to pay a £10 service charge so the bill came to £130. It certainly wasn't worth the money. I have been to this spa in the past and had no issues so I was disappointed to say the least.

My daughter and I visited the spa at the Merchant today for a "Top-to-toe" treatment, a belated mother's day surprise.
My expectations of spa days, are usually much higher than the reality, but not today. The receptionist showed us to the hydro therapy pool, which was lush, with warm water and powerful jets. After this, my therapist Emma, delivered the best massage I've had, ever. Afterwards, she led me to the relaxation room where my daughter was waiting. Our pre-ordered cocktails, glass of cold water and chocolate were waiting.
I really loved the attention to detail at the Merchant, everything delivered at exactly the right time, no hanging about.
I will definitely be back.

My favorite place indeed. Spa, massage, the facials, oh!! I have always loved being here! Being an Indian, a good facial is so important to me. Its hard to trust just about anyone with your skin but you can trust the merchant spa!

Wonderful day spa experience at the Merchant Spa. Julie gave me a full body massage and facile, followed by a cocktail in the relaxation room. Wonderful couple of hours, which I would recommend and hope to do again another time.

The attention I received from Merchant Hotel Spa was incredible.! I had a 3 hour visit .. the thermal room followed by a whole body massage and a luxurious facial.. Catherine, my therapist was fabulous. Her professional but friendly approach had me relaxed even before we started. I am disabled due to a neurological condition called CBD . This affects all my motor skills . Afterwards Catherine came to help me get dressed in the changing rooms I didn’t even have to ask . Margarette then took me to the lift and handed me safely over to my husband. I can’t wait to go again to visit Catherine

My therapist Vicky was absolutely amazing, best massage and facial. Such a lovely lady.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the receptionist was very fast to talk once advising what the process was, I couldn’t take it all in, she seemed to be in a rush however the other patrons in hydro area were helpful. 10% discretionary charge applied. I hope this goes to the actual therapist. Such hard work. I hope it’s recognised.
Expensive but worth it; such a nice treat to myself ☺️

Had a mini 3 teatment which was lovely. However within 30 minutes of being in relaxation room we were asked to leave. We were not told time was limited for use of relaxation room post treatment. Then when leaving we were surprised as staff expecting us to pay a service charge. Very cheeky. Won't be back.
