This was a return visit to this lovely hotel and once again we were treated to a wonderful stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff are professional and exceptionally friendly, while the owners, Mark and Lucy could not do enough for us. The restaurant is going from strength to strength thanks to Lucy's passion for fresh local food and her cooking skills. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We last visited the Speyside Hotel a year ago when we visited our friend Elaine in Grantown on Spey. We were really looking forward to our evening dining and hoping it was as good as last time and we were not disappointed. Mark and Lucy are the couple who run this fabulous Hotel & Restaurant and are superb at what they do. Mark is a wonderful host, warm and friendly. Lucy is an extremely talented chef delivering a great mix of traditional and innovative food. |We were so pleased on Monday after a meal here we booked again for tonight (Thursday) and again we’re not disappointed. Over the two nights we have tried, scallops with black pudding and pea puree. The most amazing haggis Bon Bon’s. Venison with Mull cheddar, chutney and oatcakes. Wonderful chicken breast stuffed with garlic and herb butter, lamb two ways with rosemary butter and the most beautifully cooked salmon dish with pak choi crispy kale and new potatoes. I can honestly say we were all delighted with the food. Everything was delicious. Please try this place if you get the chance, it really is a gem of a place. Mark & Lucy really have the formula right here. Great place to stay, friendly bar, great welcomes and superb food. What more could you want.

This hotel offers exceptional hospitality! We had an unexpected incident that required us to arrive around midnight, but the owner welcomed us warmly. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of choices, leaving us energized for our hike at Ben Macdui which is 30 minutes away by driving. The dinner was also really delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, making our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I was one of a party oƒ three who stayed overnight on 31 May. We ate in the hotel in the evening - the dining room was full - not surprising as the service and the meal were first class. One of the best meals the three of us (accomplished travellers) have had for some considerable time. The selection of drinks in the bar and the knowledge of the barman are also worthy of mention. A most satisfactory visit.

We met up with friends who lived further north so it was an ideal location. They have 2 large dogs and we have a small one so needed to find somewhere dog friendly. This place definitely ticked that box with 5 stars! Our dogs were allowed to go everywhere, not just tolerated in certain areas. |The welcome we all received was fantastic. All of the team were friendly, professional and left us feeling we would love to return. |The rooms were spacious, lovely big comfortable beds and we were happy to be a bit out of the way with our dogs. The evening meal & breakfast were superb with a great choice of quality food. |The whisky selection was unbelievable!! |The hotel has its own grounds in a quiet area but just a short walk from the High Street which has a number of cafes and shops .|Thank you for helping us to make special memories.

4 of us in our 60’s stayed here while walking the Speyside way as a rest from camping. Mark was fantastic, picked us up nearby, upgraded us so we could have a bath and he and the team provided an excellent, friendly welcome, beautiful comfortable rooms and a delicious meal. Couldn’t fault anything and set off the next day after a fantastic breakfast. |Look forward to going back when we can stay longer. Many thanks

Absolute gem of a hotel!!|Beautiful country house hotel but in easy walking distance of the town|The whole vibe is Scottish country house elegance, the bar, reception and restaurant are warm and welcoming and exactly what you imagine a Scottish hotel to be|The bedrooms are the same, very comfortable, modern amenities but full of country house charm, it’s the best of both worlds|The team are amazing, warm, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble, Mark is a great host|The breakfasts are fab, delicious Scottish porridge and the meats are all local, this is seriously the best black pudding you will have tried!!|We were there for one of the Grantown menu events and seriously wish we lived nearer as the meal was amazing and we would go for the other events planned |Finally the restaurant for dinner, Chef Lucy, one word , WOW!! |An absolutely beautiful menu with local ingredients, starters, my favourite was the scallops and black pudding, (had it 3 times!) but the rest were equally good. The mains, again great choice, we didn’t eat anything we didn’t like but a shout out to Chef Lucy’s amazing pepper sauce and vegetables!! You have to go just to try the sauce and vegetables, can’t decide which was my favourite main course but the haggis and black pudding, venison pie and lamb were exceptional, although the garlic chicken was delicious and I don’t normally like chicken breast!!!|Desserts!! Again a great range of desserts, the affogato was lovely as you get a shot of whisky with it and they have a lot of different whisky’s to try!!|The restaurant is open to non residents and you really should go for dinner if you are in Grantown|All in all we had an excellent stay, 11 days wasn’t long enough|Thank you Mark, Lucy and Team

Just spent 3 nights at the Speyside. Fantastic hotel and Mark and Lucy could not have done more to make it such a fabulous stay. Great rooms, bar, service and staff - and Lucy is a top chef who made us amazing dinners on Friday and Sunday. We will be back for sure.
