Cobwebs and filth everywhere, dirty stained, bedding, carpets are a disgrace all dirty and moth eaten, old and used toiletries in the bathrooms, the musty smell everywhere its a shame as this could be a beautiful place if the right people loved and looked after it. Definitely wouldn't recommend or stay again. And to say its a B&B when you have to get your own breakfast..... I really don't know how the owners can expect any one to pay for a room here.
When speaking to either of them you get the impression that they are really proud of the place. Had to rate as 1 star as no lower rating, Environmental Health and H&S should take a look, or maybe the Hotel Inspector.

Looks imposing from the outside.

The owners were very nice, hence the generous 1 star.

Very disappointed with the shortage of Hot water, the decor is very dated and shabby and grubby. It smelt of damp,

As a B&B we were expecting a decent breakfast. Not a make your own breakfast. Bread, coissants, toaster, cereals, orange juice, milk all placed on a couple of wobbly old tables.

I must say that these days peolpe expect a much higher standard of accommadation. We likened it to Fawlty towers.

I wouldn't stay here if you paid me, irnham is a beautiful village and very pretty but I can't believe someone would even contemplate letting people stay here, I would be ashamed and embarrassed.
I had family stay here and I had to make them shower and wash their clothes as soon as they left as the smell which can off them was horrendous. Old, damp and mildew lingered on their clothes and in their hair. I refused to enter the building as you can smell how musty it was from the outside. I have seen the pictures and that was bad enough. DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL IT HAS HAD A MAJOR OVERHAUL
