Outstanding Sunday lunch!!

Myself and a group of friends visited for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. The food was excellent, decent sized portions and very good quality. There were 6 of us in total and the whole group were in agreement. The service was just as good, nothing was too much trouble, the staff were incredibly friendly and professional.

2 night stay Friday and Saturday in hotel.
Very welcoming and helpful staff.
Room was spacious, loads of free parking, dog friendly and great garden. Will be staying here again as priced very well.
Food is also excellent. We had 3 course Sunday lunch and also tried the tapas.

We stopped here for dinner last week. Great service from James. And the food was lovely, we had small plates and burgers - both were brilliant!
Unfortunately we are not local, we were on our way to Devon - The Star was easy to find and not too far from the M5.
We will definitely be back when passing this way again!

Wow. Had a fantastic Sunday Lunch even though we got there quite late in the day.
The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
Looking forward to going back next week for mid week meal.
We didn't stay in hotel part but someone staying there said it was very good.

Went on a sunny Thursday evening and sat in the garden, the other children loving the play area and a really nice vibe. We all had a burger and was hands down the best quality burger I have ever had. A lot of thought had clearly gone in to the food. Will be back again soon!

Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed my visit. Hotel entrance is around back of hotel and this area could be lit better for late arrivals. Room was very good, spacious, clean and everything worked! Staff I met were very friendly. Good parking but no pavement outside so walking is tricky.

All dessert menu was marked as vegan when was vegetarian. Was told it was typo. Not good when you have severe allergies or intolerance.
Ok if you just want a Sunday drink, just not coffee as machine broken.
Whole family had to get coffee elsewhere.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Star in Tickenham! The Sunday roast was a delight – the topside of beef was cooked to perfection, and the array of vegetables and roasties were top-notch. The extra sides, including pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese with truffle, were a delicious addition. And let's talk dessert – the biscoff cheesecake was a scrumptious treat!

The drinks selection was impressive, starting with traditional pints and transitioning to cocktails in the sunny beer garden. It was the ideal spot to enjoy drinks and soak up some rays. The service was impeccable, thanks to the friendly and welcoming Zak. He truly went above and beyond, making our experience even more enjoyable.

Speaking of value, the three-course Sunday roast meal for £22.95 was an absolute steal! The combination of great food, drinks, service, and value makes it a no-brainer – we're definitely planning to return for another memorable visit. 🌟🍽️🍹
