Our first visit to this delightful, traditional hostelry. We were greeted by Leah with a warm and welcoming smile. |She was most obliging and turned the music off to cater to my disability.|Plenteous, tasty, imaginative, home cooked food with good gluten-free, dairy free choices. Nothing was too much trouble. A large disabled loo, ample car parking and generally wheelchair friendly. |The hard work and dedication of Mine Hosts shone through. God bless their endeavours.

I have reviewed this pub several times in the past.It only gets better.Three of us had an amazing lunch. The Nottinghamshire cottage pie was full of beef with a beautiful potatoes topping full of stilton cheese,served with perfectly cooked broccoli. The steak and ale pie was equally meaty. sticky toffee pudding perfect.|Service could not be better.The chef put himself out to package up an entire meal for a disabled friend to take home.|And all was a reasonable price.|And the locals were so friendly.|Absolutely perfect afternoon.

Stayed here for another few nights in December. Booked B&B but ate here for our evening meals as well as the food is so good.|Rooms are a decent size and well furnished with new furniture and comfy beds.|En suites are a little on the small size with shower cubicles being a bit snug, but they get the job done.|All the staff are very friendly and can’t do enough to help you. We had a bit of a medical emergency and had to extend our stay which they sorted out for us with no problems.|We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend the Starr enough. You won’t be disappointed. 👍🏻

The service and food was outstanding, as usual! We have been here before on several occasions and it is always lovely.||We enjoyed our meal very much so, this time!! My favourite part of the meal was the walnut humous for the starter. The nut roast was delicious too.

Stayed here for three nights for Nottingham graduation and an East Leake wedding. Very handy location.

Although I can complement the facilities, view and modern refit of the rooms, the absolute shining plus of this place is the staff. They are happy, accommodating, friendly, and all of them seem to have a great sense of humour too.

Awesome pub, great food, great selection of beers and very friendly staff. Good wifi and great atmosphere. One of the few pubs that I have been to that is always warm and cosy.
