A cute pub that we was great for chilling after a hike. I love the outdoor area. The interior was welcoming and they have a range of cakes too. The staff were friendly. It's close to the station.

I’m giving two stars purely for the food, the service was excellent, and the staff were lovely.

The £20 beef Sunday roast included just two slices of beef, four small roast potatoes, half a plate of boiled cabbage, broccoli, and a Yorkshire pudding. Some parsnips and carrots would be nice touch?

The £16 cheeseburger was disappointingly small and could have easily passed as a child’s portion.

Overall, the family felt let down by both the portion sizes and the quality of the food, especially when the bill came to a £100.

Good local pub. Reasonable priced beer. They had 2 of the 4 real ale pumps working. Also have a coffee and pastry type counter. Worth a visit after you've visited Box Hill.

Came with a friend and my daughter, lovely spot quiet in the afternoon. Food was delicious very good portion. The brownie is amazing was literally just out the oven, with the caramel ice cream melting on it. The staff are super kind and even the locals had good chat.

I got the steak and ale pie.

You have the original pub feeling, however the food really lacks in quality. Staff was great. Atmosphere was nice. Food disappointed strongly. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food. Quite expensive as well.

This is such a lovely pub just minutes away from Box Hill station. My sister and I ended our hike with their vegan tart and some tea. It was so filling and the portion sizes are massive for the price (which is just what you need after a long hike). They also have some lovely pastries which I would love to try next time. The pub does get quite busy after 5pm so I would recommend making a booking if you are planning on having dinner.

I recently visited The Stepping Stones and had a wonderful experience. The food we ordered was generously portioned, offering excellent value for money. It was served pipping hot and full of flavour. The restaurant welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff added to the overall enjoyment. A great spot for satisfying meals at reasonable prices after a long walk with a dog.
