We visited the Stowey for breakfast. There was a warm welcome on arrival. Instantly felt comfortable. Charlie their cockapoo gave us a lovely welcome too! Good selection of food to choose from, which was cooked to order. |My partner had a large breakfast and I had a small vegetarian breakfast, both were presented well, with the baked beans served in a separate dish (always a plus point!). Both were breakfasts were generous sized platefuls and hot.|Refillable tea and coffee which you help yourself to. |Excellent value for money and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended. Definitely will return.

Lovely atmosphere and service. Very welcoming, we would eat here but not clear what or where the menus are or what nights they have food, at the moment. Would have loved the fire to be lit, it’s a little dressy without it. Lounge seating is comfortable and little Charlie (the dog). is entertaining

Under new management and what a change! Cosy, busy, welcoming, friendly, experienced owners. I've waited 9 years for someone to run this pub well and my wait was worth it. Redecorated and given a facelift the Stowey Arms is finally good. I can't wait for them to start serving food which I'm optimistic will be as good as the atmosphere. I can't recommend this place enough. Come on Exminster lets give them support for all their efforts and its a Win Win all round!

What a fantastic Saturday evening and night away from our children at the Stowey Arms!|The quiz night was brilliant, what a great atmosphere, the locals were very friendly and welcoming too. |To top it all off, we stayed overnight and the room was spotless, better than any other pub room we’ve stayed in before. Alison and Keith were the perfect hosts. Top marks to the Stowey Arms and see you again soon.

First visit to the pub today - it was very friendly and welcoming. We had a good lunch there and chatted to the landlords. Charlie the dog is gorgeous!

3 of us stayed in s room with 2 double beds. It was great, Huge comfortable rooms. clean and tidy. Jess the landlady was brilliant. She couldn't do enough for us. She arranged our taxis for the evening, recommended places close by to eat. Added bonus being a pub you can have a drink while getting ready

Staff pleasant. Room clean|Music blaring from pub through to room until 11.pm . Bed creaked everything we moved. No WiFi in bedroom. Booked a table on line for evening meal. No food served, even though the sign outside said pub food. Booking.com also showed bar and knife and fork. Only did a roast on a Sunday. Breakfast was either cereal or a cooked breakfast. No fruit juice. We told the lady behind bar we had table booked when we arrived. She said OK. We went down at 7.45 to ask for menu and was told, ' oh, we don't do food except Sunday Roast. Did you book on line?' I said yes and she said the ladt landlady did food but they didn't. We had to go out in the rain to find somewhere to eat. My husband is elderly and we booked because it said pub food. Instead No food but loud music until 11pm and creaky, hard bed and no WiFi in bedroom

Fantastic. The team went well above what could be expected for high quality service.
We arrived last minute with a 16 month old baby and they scrambled to get a room squeaky clean, made us a fantastic hot dinner, hot breakfast, and even gathered a baby cott from some of the local villagers in no-time flat. well done. I couldn't recommend this place higher. The owners are a young couple who couldn't be more lovely and helpful.
