I attended today for my birthday with my husband. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were seated quickly. |We ordered two cocktails, one came with lipstick on the glass, we mentioned this and it was changed very quickly. Our food order got misplaced due to an issue with a printer or something however this was rectified quickly. Food was delicious and well priced, would thoroughly recommend!

Booked a meal with family. It was a busy Saturday evening, but it was well staffed, & we were seated & attended to efficiently. We were served by Chloe & Lottie, who made us feel at home. Happy & friendly service from both ladies. We had gammon, beef & seabass dishes, with fries, sweet potato fries & salad. Good amount of food that was delicious. Chef (I think his name was Kassim) did a great job. Each dish was cooked to everyone's taste and full of flavour. Dishes are a little pricey, but I couldn't fault the food and service. I would definitely eat here again, even though the table we were sitting at was too small to fit everything on. We had to take the drinks menu, lamp & plant off the table to fit our dishes on. Other than that, we were made to feel comfortable, a lovely atmosphere and great meals.

We booked last minute Sunday morning for a table at 3.30pm. The place is stunning inside and they put us a family of 8 in a lovely spot in the restaurant. The staff as soon as we arrived were lovely the host took us to our seat and immediately offered the kids little bags with stickers and colouring in which was a lovely touch. The service for drinks was quick, my sister had cocktails and they looked and tasted amazing.|We were gutted they had ran out of the sharing Sunday lunch but ordered off the normal menu, the waitress even came back to check if we wanted the kids meals with our started. The food was absolutely stunning the best food I’ve had in a long time. We also had some puddings and the kids had options off the main menu but they just do smaller positions which I thought was great. Lily our waitress was fab she looked after us made sure we all had drinks and overall the staff were very nice.|We can’t want to go back!

Went to the Sutherland for my wedding day meal. It was lunch time on a Wednesday. Our table was booked for 12.30 but we got there for 12.15. it took an hour and a half to get our starters, then another hour for our mains. After asking why is there such a long wait. The response was " we do have other customers to serve" which I found the attitude of the staff appalling. I did have a pudding as it was meant to be my special day, to wait a further 40 mins. We left the place at 4pm. Which was just time waiting for food to come out. It's understaffed and definitely the wrong staff for the environment you are trying to make. The food was ok, I wouldn't say it's worth the price tag. Overall wouldn't go again and really sad I choose this place for my wedding meal.

I had lunch here a month ago with a friend, it was a weekday and was therefore not overly busy.

The refit is very attractively done and the menu is well thought out with lots of choice. The prices are steep.

However…. Although the staff weren’t unfriendly, they weren’t very warm either. Having worked in hospitality for many years, a restaurant absolutely must get its service skills right especially when it has taken the very obvious decision to charge at the upper end of the price range.

No one said hello, no one said goodbye, despite arriving and leaving directly by the staffed, but empty bar. Heads not up, not paying attention, not making eye contact. The personal touch was missing throughout.

If an establishment chooses to place itself in that bracket for food prices, then the service levels should be slick, quick, confident, dynamic and polished. But they just weren’t.

Professional training needed for the FOH staff.
