Beautiful traditional pub. Fab food - fresh produce and full of flavour.
Room 8 was very spacious with a comfortable bed and everything needed for a stay.
It's a peaceful location and though it's right on a busy road, it was quiet overnight.
Staff are all friendly and helpful, they made it a really lovely stay.
Can recommend and would happily stay again

Rooms fair-sized, very clean and well-equipped well above 2-star standard.

Location was perfect for us, easy to find and 15 minutes from the three local towns.

Service excellent, very friendly and efficient. Kerry was super helpful taking care of keeping chilled medication chilled.

We stayed a few more days than planned - no problem shuffling things around so we kept the same room.

Great value for money and very enjoyable - will definitely be back.

Stayed here as was in the area for a family wedding. They were very accommodating, there was an issue with one of our lodges prior to visiting which they called and informed us about, they explained one of the lodges we booked will be smaller but also provided us with an extra suite. On arrival this actually suited us better so was grateful they had held the extra suite. We visited the pub for breakfast before leaving and the staff couldn’t be anymore accommodating. Especially one of the young ladies, provided our family with extra toast etc as could see there were a lot of us. If I’m ever in the area will definitely visit again. Thank you ☺️

Stopped for lunch and we were kindly allowed to park our motorhome in the large carpark. The food and service was excellent. The local sausages were fabulous ?

Such a cosy, friendly pub. We will stop whenever we pass.

Good selection of beer on tap and one of the better carverys in the area.
Dropped a star on service as they forgot the dessert when the pub wasn’t overly busy.
Not put off and will definitely return.

Lovely place definitely stopping again.

Update..

We stopped for another night as we always stop out for work. This place is by far the best and most amazing place and the food is next level and I'm 100% looking forward to working this way again to just stay here.

Food was amazing was clean and tidy, wasn't expecting it to be that good can't wait to come back to try rest of menu with family also the staff are very nice and polite very welcoming.

fantastic food , very welcoming . had Prawn Cocktail served with toasted bread, followed by smoked duck the chef has an attention to detail , perfectly presented very nice setting , plenty of car parking space would visit again as soon as we can
